my GG 4 connection lives in MI and says its 20 deg where he lives and says the clones wont make it. And wants to wait a couple months to ship, I never had problems shipping stuff as long as it goes thru the 2day usps priority box. Or overnight. Anyone have problems shipping in winter?
you can't mail clones because that's illegal but if you are asking if they will survive a ride, yeap they will. cannabis has a strange ability to survive the cold, specially in the dark. but only doing it overnight would be best
Your right Nip, I better get gas in the car. Lol. Thanks for the responce. I should of re worded the question. That makes me wonder, is it illegal in legal states to mail?? At least its not like 5 keys of coke. I couldnt do that time.
they can, but are they allowed...doubtful I'd imagine its the same with all other industries, since it's federally illegal, then you can't profit off it. basically same reason banks cant get in the biz since they would lose their standing with feds
Fedex and UPS both require ID from the sender for shipping, USPS doesn't. That's why most of us use USPS. Any shipping of cannabis via USPS, FedeEx or UPS is illegal. Thing is USPS doesn't investigate small seizures. Don't know about UPS or FedEx. Winter shipping is fuck all on clones up here. If it sits on a truck or in an unheated shipping storage overnight in sub zero weather there's a decent chance they'll freeze.
News flash Folks EVERYONE except the USPS can and will open your package without a warrant... and it's 100% legal..... I wouldn't ship anything questionable by any method except USPS.. if they have a warrant to search your mail, you've really screwed up... MAD MAX
Honestly I think your ok with a little precaution. Sealed up, in cardboard with a little paper for extra insulation and I bet they are fine. 2 day max overnight and it's a for sure thing. Honestly take a plant and throw it in the garage or basement without light, heat, water, etc. They last forever, I've literally seen em last close to 2 weeks without water or anything in a cold garage. You can't do that under hps, or light in general, but plants are like animals and try to do anything to stay alive. Kill the light and they take a nap. I will say in the sub artic like res lives in, that could be a problem, but for us that live without mastodons in our climate, you got at least 50 50 chance of survival....odds are prob better than that
Like Nip said, a little precaution will go a long way as long as they're not coming from MN or some other sub arctic state! That said I'd probably heed the shop's advice and wait for warmer weather
Some goodies and some chick fa lay walfel fries. Lol Man sub artic talk. I just forgot what its really like. Its going to be 86 again this week where I live. It just dont get that cold here but one week out of the year and I havent seen even a frost for I cant remember. Of course this doesnt include trips where I froze my ass off because I dont even own a pair of long pants or a long sleve shirt. I am the metal head in shorts. Lol. I need to get out more.
-6F today. 20 minutes in my mailbox would freeze anything solid. Even one of Duc's supermondocoolfantastic packing jobs wouldn't make it. JCIO- your guy is up in Michigan grow country and they're as cold as me right now.
Didn't that dude say he had GG4 seeds ? Or do you just want to wait out the cuts ? cold as shit here, too. 3 degrees F outside with chill index at -6
Yeah the instagram guy got a website "reliable us seedbank" they have been out of stock and last two weeks its been "coming soon". Then they told me two more weeks they should get another drop. 6 fem seeds for $100. The one guy is going to get me a cut that came from the 2014 canna cup. But it might be a few weeks on that. If its a chance that it could freeze I'll just wait, that will give me time to clean up stuff and get ready to bush it out and clone it. I never ran a long strain like it in a long. time
Jcio, if the dude is in Mi and is sending to you, they should be cool. You figure that he will take it to the Post Office to send out. It will be indoors till it goes on a truck to the airport and it will be in warm weather after that. The only cold it should feel is on the way to the airport and however cold it gets in the cargo area, but they all go to the cargo area to be shipped all year. Now shipping the other way? leaving the airplane, getting in a cold truck, then getting warm in the PO, then getting frozen in a mail truck for anywhere from an hour to 8 hours and after that, sitting in a frozen mailbox for a couple of hours. Hmmmm. Now that I'm writing and thinking at the same time (bad idea lol) I remember someone here, quite awhile ago, keeping cuts in their fridge for a couple of weeks till they had room. I know it wasn't the freezer but they would still be cold for a bit.
Thats what I am worried about. He will get a frozen pop sickel and the gorilla wont want to come to sunny FL. I will remind him that Its was 75+ Here today perefect clone weather. Lol
