I went to see MINISTRY this past May 4th in Toronto. It was their last tour, and theyve been around since before i was born. I used to listen to them when i was 13 and just starting to smoke bud. Me and my buddy/buddies would break into his older borthers room and sit in the dark bangin MINISTRY. His brother had a giant speaker box in his room. Anyways... these guys opened for Ministry that night. They play OFF BEAT like "TOOL" and we all know how badass tool is... Make sure you turn it up LOUD! Yea meshuggah is pretty good, they remind me a lot of fear factory. I personally when it comes to heavier stuff like this I think The Black Dahlia Murder is probably my favorite, although more on the straight death metal. Did Ministry break up? I saw them in 1996 on the Filth Pig tour. Excellent show. I was right up front and my ears rang for days afterward. I like all the incarnations of Ministry - from new wave to goth to industrial.
YEAH ALL THOSE VIDEOS ARE KICK ASS! Well i dont think they broke up. Im sure Ministry will be around untill Al dies. Their last couple of albums have been directed at the Bush Administration, so in an interview Al said he wants Ministry and The Bush family to ride off into the sunset together. Also he doesnt want to be some old man like Ozzy waddling across the stage. Yeah my ears were ringing for about 3 days before going normal again. This is the show i was at in Toronto this past MAY. ...rieflin is w/ R.E.M... ...just caught R.E.M. at Red Rocks June 3rd... ...was talkin' to this kid 'bout the original drummer not bein' with REM any longer, Bill Berry is his name...and the kid sez' did you know R.E.M.'s drummer on their current "Accelerate" tour is none other then Bill Rieflin...the original drummer from Ministry... ...that could possibly mean that Ministry is now defunct or on hiatus...who knows...crazy rock stars will always play on... ...DC...:XXsunsmile::new_scatter:
