Started grow '09

Discussion in 'Outdoor Cultivation' started by GanjaBoBanja, Feb 17, 2009.

  1. Now, I know it's early but, today I just started 10 seeds for the '09 season. I'm down in Florida so the temps are not even an issue anymore, and the rainy season will start driftin back next month, so this would seem like a perfect time to start germin the seeds and lettin'em stretch out early. Now the 10 seeds I have goin are broken into two kinds: 5 being Australian Blue x Sugar Babe and 5 being Hollands Hope. Now, I'm hoping the Hollands Hope makes it through the long haul and produces nice, fat buds and a nice "couch lock" going. The other seeds I'm not too sure about, I haven't been able to find any info on them but, they'll be just as good for free smoke ;) This most likely going to be my grow log, I didn't know whether to put it here or in Beginner's (Mods move if need be) There's no pics right now cuz I beleive everyone knows what Solo Cups of FFOF Soil looks like lol But, when they sprout and are out in the sunshine I'll be sure to put up some bikini pics:suave: So alright, I'll be posting in a week or two hopefully :eusa_dance:

I myself just picked up a few good seeds for the world seed bank. Might i say very quick hipping on their part. But any who, I picked up some of the Joint Dr.'s LR #2, Pure Afghan, and 5 Afghanica seeds and i cant wait to get to freaking growing. The weather where i live is really playing with my emotions. It's 70 one day and 25 a week later. Its really fucking me up. But all emotional crap aside, I think this years grow is going to be very productive. I have some real good mids i am going try out this year too. You never know.:suave:

  7. Some pics

So after a sketchy first few weeks with the fluctuating weather here in FL, all the plants made it!! I had to keep movin them in and out for a couple days but, now it's well worth it! Here's some pics to satisfy the plant porn for now. The one with the yellow leaves is some bagseed that I DO NOT give a fuck about and it's lived outside through the cold and wind and even a rainstorm lol And it's STILL alive!! All the other pics are Australian Blue x Sugar Babe and Hollands Hope! They took off after the cold weather stopped and I haven't even fed them once yet just straight water!

    Nice job

Great pics! Lookin' Great so far!

I have to tell you after growing out some bag seed that came from a bag of good midgrade dope, you never know what you'll get from bagseed..

You might just get a really great pheno! I was surprised with some of the bud I harvested from my first bag seed grows!

Every summer, after I have put in all of my quality seeds, and all of my top notch cuttings, I like to put in a few gardens of good bagseed (far away from my prized strains of course ;) )

Good luck with your grow! I cant wait to move some plants outdoors. I have had my plants started from seed indoors for almost a month now. I will be taking cuttings from my mothers in another week or two, to be rooted and placed outdoors!

I love growing in the great outdoors! Im super anxious to get out!

Anyways, your plants look real good, great job! Thanks for sharing, and I will be watching this one.

BTW is that hole they are in now where you will be planting them permanentley? Or are u planning on growing in pots the whole season?

  10. Yes the spot is a fire pit, everything is on property that I own, I have alot of space and live in BFE, so it makes sense to grow them outside. I have 13 gallon pots that they will be transferred to in a different location kind of tucked away in the yard. They shot up so quick and they're looking strong, I can't wait to feed them! Thanks for looking, hopefully I'll have some more pics next week.

I am starting my first outdoor grow soon as well. I wish I had my own private property to grow on. Is that where most people plant their outdoor grow? Thanks. IG

yea sugar babe is a paradise seeds strain, from what ive learned....im not sure of their credibility in the seed business.....i know they are heavily involved in the fem seed movement which is questionable in my opinion.....but i do like the sugar babe......and others i smoke out seem to like it.
