Hello there, my plants are entering there 3 week of flowering but the leaves of my Papaya strain are a bit different it has two colors, is that a mutation or nutrient defficiency ??
any way to make it bigger.......from that small size it would guess some sort of light bleaching.......how close is your lamp.
Organic CultivationHello the lights are about 40 inches from the plants, I'm using a 400 watts high impact sodium light and my plants are in there 3 week of flowering. /monthly_2009_10/57a6ca0ea4713_CopyofIMG_1174.jpg.c5b05c0adff7b0ce44e77f745a1d126c.jpg /monthly_2009_10/57a6ca0eaaf22_CopyofIMG_1194.jpg.c6c933d0cbd8fe52ff57b70264cb983d.jpg /monthly_2009_10/57a6ca0f71036_CopyofIMG_1200.jpg.4e0b85cbcf597a54ffa11e28bd8ef6ff.jpg /monthly_2009_10/57a6ca0f75ec9_CopyofIMG_1203.jpg.90e5a32846e437e50d3e6a8010bf427d.jpg
man im terrible at diagnosis......but all i really see is a few off colored leaves.....the plants look overall pretty good to me, i personally wouldnt sweat it too much but thats jus me.....hopefully some of the smarter heads will be able to point you in a better direction..........outta curiosity what kinda potting mix are you using and what is your water source?????
Hey no way to tell what color your plants are with the hps light on . Plus get that light down closer 16" off the tops of the plants at least closer if it's cooled.-Bud
Organic cultivation. Hello, I'm using pre mix soil and I'm using tap water, the water ph is 6.2, the plants are a dark green color except for the one in the picture, but it's odd because half of the leaf is yellow and the other half is dark green. I'm growing papaya, snow white and white widow strains, I will lower the lights, they will be ready for christmas, thanks and take care.
If you could get a shot of the leaf under clear light it would help. In one of your pics it looks like the color difference is directly divided down the center vein. I attributed it to a reflection because the leaves looked otherwise healthy.:icon_scratch:
I had the same problem recently I can't see very well but If the leaves are yellowing starting from the top it's sulfur but the part where it's yellow dose it get any light if not this is the early stges of a magnesium def. it will get worse and spread to leaves that get light and the tops will start curling up don't worry to treat both is very easy just mix epsom salt about 5 ml a gallon mabey 7.5 if it gets any worse before treating. check your nuts some like floramicro (what i use) don't have any of either hope they feel better soon
Organic CultivationI will try epsom salt to make it better, here's a few pictures of my plants away from the hps lights, thanks, take care. /monthly_2009_10/57a6ca0fe31d1_CopyofIMG_1208.jpg.cde782f2cc42499185d19dde2697722b.jpg /monthly_2009_10/57a6ca0fe84e5_CopyofIMG_1214.jpg.effa1cc046a494e619d119378ff1712d.jpg /monthly_2009_10/57a6ca0fee081_CopyofIMG_1216.jpg.e8bff15d1838c8c6b282320bf56559c3.jpg /monthly_2009_10/57a6ca0ff2c47_CopyofIMG_1217.jpg.f5e9626af0f67ec9a629a13d7353f06d.jpg /monthly_2009_10/57a6ca1003965_CopyofIMG_1218.jpg.f77eb83b899c26de5479e9572c3d81ed.jpg
Plants look pretty healthy you might want to get the ph up alittle 6.5 - 6.8 . At 6.2 you might get some lockout . Good luck on your grow-Bud
Organic cultivation.Adding baking soda to raise the water ph will affect the plants ?? here's more pictures of my plants, thanks, take care. /monthly_2009_10/57a6ca1008295_CopyofIMG_1224.jpg.bca2bfd8d156e1ba5d0fe2dd4e8c860f.jpg /monthly_2009_10/57a6ca100b94a_CopyofIMG_1225.jpg.40899cc3f42d45aeb63977bfae6c13fd.jpg /monthly_2009_10/57a6ca100efaa_CopyofIMG_1227.jpg.d3bcabad84c0e1dc285589f89e7d0768.jpg
Im not perfect at diagnosing problems either, But that papaya looks like it could have a mutation. Ive never seen leaves do that before. All the other plants look healthy. The papaya looks healthy too besides the weird leaves.:icon_scratch:
Nothings wrong. I second that cheebamonkey, I wouldn't worry at all. You have nothing there to treat. 5-7 weeks left, shit they look good!! Get those leaves that are totally yellow off of there.... then you'll stop trippin'!!! GET THAT LIGHT CLOSER! 18" to the tops. Then take the back of your hand and hold it over the top of one of your main colas and see how warm it feels. Warm is ok, if it starts to even feel like it could possibly burn, if held there for any extended period of time then raise your light from there. I keep my light at 18". I have a fan that is blowing in between the light and over the tops of my plants. They are very happy. I cleared a q.p off two 3' plants, that's dry weight too partner. 4.2 oz. Decent. I always leave the fan on and my exhaust fan too. Always moving air. Hell your plants look really good if the light is that far away and you are in week 3. I would've expected much more stretch. Good luck, looking good. Peace. King8ballZ
Organic Cultivation.Hello, the lights are at 15" from the tops, the plants are doing great they are at the middle of the 4th week of flowering, thanks a lot for the tips, they are really helpful, take care. /monthly_2009_11/Copy004.jpg.45810a0e496b50670d329e2d0502d012.jpg /monthly_2009_11/Copy005.jpg.fb661da93f458e67d96f499e2893d3e2.jpg /monthly_2009_11/57a6ca1147e07_Copy002.jpg.12f8f4c290f72aaf1c22897df3585bf8.jpg /monthly_2009_11/57a6ca114d904_Copy003.jpg.2f29c8821de6bbe1f8d37f2cc0d6d61f.jpg

They look good. The yellowing could be some sort of deficiency due to low PH, but it isn't serious at all and your plants are going to begin losing leaves anyways since your well into flowering.
just my opinion soda ok...but dolomite lime will richn them up quick cureing yellowing of the ends......from my past exp mind you..!Bud3
when i had a fish tank i used baking soda to lower the PH I had well water and very acidic at that, soda would drop Ph like a bomb if not careful in a 50 gal lol But ya turn that water sample from yellow to blue in a heart beat Not sure bout MJ?
Organic cultivationHello I noticed a couple of leaves getting yellow spots, is that a water problem or someting else?? the water ph is at 6.4 and tds is 310. I'm feeding the plants with a nute that is 20-10-20, the feeding schedule is one tea spoon every 7 days and watering them every 3 days, they will be ready for the second week of December, thanks, take care. /monthly_2009_11/IMG_1434.jpg.37a71f0fb1174ccbcf8737494eabe9b6.jpg /monthly_2009_11/57a6ca1304a25_CopyofIMG_1420.jpg.9e5d6482ff5d3866cf10fc81a912be69.jpg /monthly_2009_11/57a6ca13097a1_CopyofIMG_1421.jpg.24d3602685c48b6a3c74a16dfc9ab04e.jpg /monthly_2009_11/57a6ca130f70a_CopyofIMG_1425.jpg.aecd7699e7a5de747ea7687e13f28810.jpg /monthly_2009_11/57a6ca1314b42_CopyofIMG_1426.jpg.a9ad9774de36e232f2789f617e6117a6.jpg
