Ok, this is my second grow, first one I've gotten to the flowering stage. I basically have one hugh Northern Light mother and some clones of her(hopefully). If she turns male my only other contingency is two bag seed girls.

Unfortunatley I wasnt able to get clones quick enough because a certain "hut" in florida fucked up my order twice and couldnt get me cloning solution. And to boot, my only contingency plan was to bag seeds that I planted in a hempy bucket together (figured fuck it, ive got a NLxBB) and one of them is also a male, and since god obviously hates me im sure the final chance will turn male as well.

Hahaha, thanks for at least putting some humor in the situation. This is easily gonna set me back a month and a half. Thanks for all the advice that ive gotten on here, they turned male but im quite impressed with how well the grow went, besides getting kicked in the nuts of course

 

I would advise putting them into 12/12 when they're wee sprouts. I grow my from-seed plants in cut 20oz bottles (hempy) and put'em into 12/12 at 3-4 inches. You can always re-veg them after sexing.

 

Definately male and far along you need to toss it quick and clean the room with bleach that it was in. Pollen has definately been released by the looks of it

Well it's male but it's hard to tell if it's released any pollen yet from the pic. Since pollen is deactivated with plain water I don't understand what the hell the bleach is for.

 

Dont feel too bad man, it happens.. Especially when you are first starting out..


I once had a real beaut of a female outdoors.. Well I chopped her top off and rooted it indoors to flower.


I took atleast 35-40 clones from her, and rooted them in my basement.. Needless to say, the plant was a hermie. When I decided to take clones the mother was showing long pistils and hairs. The male characterisitics hadnt shown yet. So I cut and cut, til I had a basementfull of clones. Started flowering them all out about 4 weeks later, only to find out they were all growing male pollen sacs..


Lifes a bitch, but shit happens man.. Learn from it.

wait, if I understood you correctly that male is the only thing in the room? There are no girls at all? Make sure there are no female flowers and if not then let it go.


You can collect the pollen and save it in the fridge. That male is certainly vigorous and you know the properties of the strain.


Also, male buds aren't as good as female but they are better than leaves. If there aren't any girls around for it to taint then let it grow until you need the space and have some pollen. Then chop it down and make oil.


And yeah, clean and detox the entire fucking room before putting a girl in.

 

I feel really bad for you man. Next time start as many as you can, take clones as soon as you can, and flower one of the clones so you don't waste TOO much time.

As was already stated... you need to start more seed's, although, with only room for one...


I've never had an issue re: room size, but I think this 'starting 1-2 seed's' and hoping for a miracle, is BS, IMO.


If you have the room...start al least 5

 

That's exactly what I do is 5. For my space not a whole bunch of wiggle room, I did do seven once and 6 turned out to be female which I didn't think would happen had to keep a couple in the smaller pots so I could fit em all in.


But yea man, I would def do more then 2 at a time.
