We have pre-flowers! How long after they emerge will male flowers begin to look different then the Fem's? Right now they look like a bump in the nodes. Could they be balls just not having grown the stem thing they are at the end of? Sexperts... Growkind guru's... Tell me the good news.
well if they look like little bumps it sounds like a male. BUT little hairs could just be waiting to burst out. here's a couple pics courtesy of Wawona. http://www.growkind.com/forum/showthread.php?p=231313#post231313
ok so until the hairs emerge they look the same? from those pics (thank you btw) it looks just like the M flower but i have not seen a pic of a F without the hairs?? How long after you can 1st see the pre-flowers do the hairs emerge?
so im guessing there's some bad news? it's ok man. those are the risks and sometimes shit just doesn't work out. just look at it as now it gives you more time to read up and build on what you know. so that when you plant again, you have that much more knowledge and your crop will be that much better. keep the faith my friend. rock on
splypho this is what i am working with what do you think? /monthly_2007_05/P1000496_edited.JPG.8a1579185a1cc7192f8a87fefcf65584.JPG
It was in a basement with 7,000 lumins worth of CFL lighting. same light recomended in what I think was the March issue of High Times. I started some seed from a bag and vegged them for 4 weeks 24/0... switched to 12/12. For soil I used Miracle Grow for flowers I think? High in "P" Gave it some 10-30-10 fert when I switched the light. All of the seedlings were sativas except for one and knowing indica fairs well indoors I ditched the 2 sativas and kept this plant hoping for the best. BALLS! What can you tell me about all this?
its just the luck of the draw my friend. you did everything right..... except for your medium. MG is not a favorite around thse parts. but that in no way had any part in the sex of your plant. like i said before, just look at it as a good time to learn a little more.
really MG no good? What brand should I use? I unfortunately am restricted to what I can find at Home Depot... I was looking everywhere for a soil that had no added fert and could not find a single one??? all of them have something. I thought a high Nitrogen fert was no good for flowering and that you want a high Pottasium & Phosphorus? no?
Calcium magnesium for stems phosphorus is for strong roots... to tell you the truth with all that would make a killer plant...
And what would that have done exactly? His plant is healthy and well fed so i really dont get what you are saying. One thing i cant stand on this site or any other is people who really haven't clue #1 spouting off advice and tips to people who don't know anybetter but to listen. I think you should read more and type alot less. @the op You did everything right (cept the MG we don like that poo round here) its nature bro some of us grow balls some dont. Just grab ure favorite bagseed and germ 4 of them i promise at least 1 will be a lady.
well for what it is worth a few hours after i find out my f'ing plant has bigger balls than I do a t-storm knocked the power out during what would have been the middle of the light cycle... :qbluewacko: 2.5 hours of dark in the middle of the light cycle! ugh.
It wont be affected more than likely, hmm makes me wonder if you could force a male plant to herm and produce buds. Hmmm i need to do a lil research.
