Hey guys ive recently been planning my 3rd grow, its been about 4 years since my last grow, i was thinking of a grow lab 4x9, 4x9 tent, But as far as a whole setup goes Its a little over my price range and takes up more room than i can spare right now, my question is, is there something out there like a different tent manufacture , or a almost "out of the box setup" around 1000-1500$, with the 4x9 tent a 600w/400w fans etc. it was about 2300-2500. If i can get 2-4 plants at 2-4 oz a plant i wouldnt complain.

What i found was Grow lab has a 31x31 tent , So i can get a 400w hps , 400w Mh , Would a 6" fan be good enough to use to cool the light? and then a 4" fan to vent room? I dont need to worry about smell so i wont be running a filter Other than one to Filter dust etc.. And i think with all the soil nutes, and everything else I can come in around 1,500 does any one have a better idea?

Total comes to around $700 including shipping. A set up like this will fit six plants very nicely and should give you more than enough fire power to pass that 8 oz range you're looking for.

    if money is an issue

then buy 2 x 4's and split them ....so they are 2 x 2's get some nails or screws, maybe 3 lb;'s of nails or screws...maybe 10 2 x 4's and then buy a roll of panda film, (stuff is 6mil,,,,and blank on outside and white on inside)...you can build any size you want...if you have a staple gun that works great....

then go on craigs list...get a 400w hps light for 100 bucks or so...and a couple of fans...

if you do this you will pay less for the whole set up then you will for one tent....

lots cheaper....and throw away if need be....

    hope this helps...

    Build it yourself

Why not scrap the tent idea and save yourself over 500 bucks? Get some drywall and build yourself a deconstruct-able room. Spend the extra money on lights or even CO2. You have 1500 dollars to spend? I love this game. EBAY baby

2 Raptor Hoods (with glass) off Ebay- 250$

    2 600W Hortilux Bulbs - 200$

    2 Lumatek Switchables -250$

    8" Vortex Inline Fan- 175?$

    4" Vortex Intake- 90?$

    Nutes- 200$ (stock up)

    PH Meter-30

Accessories (pots, oscillating fan, emergency funds) 200$

This system would serve you for years to come...and it has a much much higher resale value than lesser brands. Never had a sun system ballast fail..never had a hortilux bulb burst...never had a vprtex fan go out on me...and those larger hoods allow for you to get the plants within inches of the glass due to there being so much room for the bulbs heat to dissipate. Granted you're not getting as direct of a concentration...but personally I'd rather have more area for a plant to be directly underneath a reflector versus 6 inches below a concentrated one. This setup will take up approximately 4' X 8'. Of you do go with a tent I still suggest one raptor hood with a lumatekballast and an eye hortilux bulb. Best setup you can have IMO.

This Setup will allow you to yield over 4 and a half pounds per year...in three cycles...running about 7-9 plants each time...Veg time just over a month. I pretty much run this same cycle...and it's absolutely within reason to expect way more weight if you're a really good grower. Put it up in a corner of your house so you have two walls already made for you. MYLAR MYLAR MYLAR! :flyy:

Lastly...some of these prices seem steep but I'm a big believer in buying something one time and not having to replace it. Vortex, Sun system, and lumatek are on top of the game right now, and rightly so. The vortex inlines are significantly better than the value brand inline fans you find on ebay. It will outlive you! If you do decide to go with a tent do some research and find out which ones (sun systems coincidentally) made people's plants sick due to a spray on lining used in the construction of the tents. Good luck, sir.
