I was told that most plants that have 3 branches per node go male!. Is this true? it's a fem seed and is showing fem characteristics!
Didn't we just go over this whorled phyllotaxy the other day? It's just a leaf arrangement and as far as any research has shown it isn't due to any mutation or change in DNA ploidy level. From what i've read doesn't seem to favor sex either.
FReak I got a bean that sprouted up like this last summer.. It turned out to be a freak of nature, and was a scrawny, runt of the plants. I would def let it grow out for a month or so, and see how it does tho! It's worth a shot! I let mine grow out the entire summer and fall.. I transplanted it outdoors after a couple months, and it finished outdoors. It stayed really small, and didnt grow much. It only developed little tiny premature buds. Nothing much at all... GFam
Ehh not quit. I think the topic that wins there is people asking can I get female seeds from a hermie plant or from pollenating with a hermie plant, now that topic I think got beat to death with the deaed dog. HAHAHA slanted bro just let that thing grow and do its thing, you will never know till you see for yourself.
The one plant I had that did this was male. Grew well and I used the pollen to make seeds. None of the new generation carried the trait (so far) but produced some nice plants with a high (80% or so) fem rate. So basically... I have no idea.
Females Baby Officially Females, both the 3 branch per node and the 13-fingered fan-leaf mutant. NICE!! PS- I'll post some pic 2morow, finaly got a digi!!
That great! I had one once, it was male. I'm glad ures are ladies and I look forward to seeing her if you have pics Here is my male, this seedling grew waaaay more leaves all over the place when it was real young, then switched to threes a bit later, but it was male so I never got to see what would have happened as I did not use the pollen - And a picture of a female I found a while ago when I was looking for more info, this one grew in threes all the way to the end-
Thats a very interesting plant there canna! Great post! Thanks for sharing! Did u take cuttings? What strain was this plant? GFam
