I just built a vaporizer for $5! I used the plans from here: Code: http://www.build-your-own-vaporizer.com/ All the parts except the tubing came from the Dollar Store. Soldering Iron - $1 Sippie Cup - $1 Flower Pot Base - $1 Empty Jar - $0 Nylon Tubing - $2 Shell Casing - $0 The base is an inverted Flower Pot Base, the body is a Sippie Cup. I used a .30-.30 shell casing for the bowl, cutting it off just below the shoulder and pressing it on to the soldering iron tip. Works great, almost free!
Great job!!!!!!!! I love to Mcguyver shit. I'm going to look at the plans you used and see if they will work for me.
:spam4: ?? Soldering Iron Vaporizers have been around for a long ass time and they suck ass! Unless you attach a rheostat to the iron you can't adjust the temp and you'll burn your buds. I know because I made one like 15 years ago just like the one pictured above. It sucked.
I don't think so, unless the plans are for sale......and you can get most of the shit from the Dollar Store like W.I.Z. said.
well he gives a link where you can buy the plans, and he only has one post. I vote its spam, but im not an allmighty mod! :notworthy:
It's a cute little thing. I personally can't get a good hit off a Volcano vap, so this isn't for me. I do like the McGyverism . . . Is that a pic of the one you made or just a pic off the site?
The link he provided on his 1st post was very informative, and has step by step instructions on how to build a (albeit ghetto imo) home-made vaporizer. No plans to buy. Not bad W.I.Z. a + rep on your 1st post! :nanner: http://www.build-your-own-vaporizer.com/buildavaporizer.html
I guess I misread something or just spaced out on it and way I will take my foot out of my mouth on this one....errr
Ohhhhh BTW . . . :welcome: to :GK:. I'm sure you'll enjoy the site. It has a little bit of everything you need to grow OUTSTANDING pot and a few things you wish you didn't know about NOT growing pot, and the occasional thing that has nothing to do with anything and noone wants to know about it. I look forward to growing to know you better.
Nice, since Ive never tried a vaporizer Im going to have to build one of these bad boys. If/when I get one built I will let yall know how it works :thumbs-up: Cheers Wiz +rep
I'll give a try for this vap, if a light dimmer switch will work fine to adjust the temp, then it seems ok to give a try
Worthless piece of junk!!! I have tried a lot of different vapes over the years and I'm telling everyone from experience that this style of vape is not going to perform well. I have made one of my own as well as used one that was purchased from a store(all at least 10 years ago, that's how long this home made vape has been around) There is a key ingredient missing from the equation. In order to get good steady vapor rips you need to be able to pull heated air over/through the buds (either using lung power or with a motorized fan and heating element) and this type of setup does not allow you to draw air through, around or over the buds. They are simply heated by contact with a metal bowl. Only the buds touching the metal will vaporize and it will happen slowly. You never get a good hit off of them, shit you can barely tell that they are doing anything. Even with a rheostatic controll to adjust temps this style of vape IMO is completely worthless and a waste of time and money. I really hate to see people waste their time. I won't post again in this thread about how CRAPPY this style of vaporizer is but I wanted to make sure that I made it clear what was wrong with this design. If you like to sit and wait for 20 minutes for the thing to make a hit of vape then be my guest. If you waste your time with this then IMO you must just like getting :dog-nana: No disrespect intended to W.I.Z. I'm sure he intended to pass along good information but he missed the mark on this one.
No spam intended. The site gives free plans, nothing for sale. Good way to try a vape before spending $$$ and then discovering you don't like it. for any confusion.
