The hairs on my buds are 80% orange for less then a week. I dont have a loupe or the coin to buy one although I will have one for my next harvest because I like my bud half head and half body high. Should I harvest now and hope for the best? Does anyone have any info as to how long after the hairs are 75 percent orange will the trikes be half cloudy?
It's been my experience that each strain is different. Radio Shack has a portable microscope for $9.95. It has served me well. Good luck.
If you arn't noticing new bud growth, i would think about harvesting with 75% red hairs. How long have the ladies been flowering??
There is no new growth. the ladies have been in flower for 75 days. I just bought a hps light 14 days ago. Before that I had 10 4 foot daylight flos. ScrOG is working.It looks like i will get 1 and a half ounces on each plant. I am going to cure half in h2o and the rest in mason jars to see the different results.I guess I will wait untill the eagle shits and try to swing the scope,if I can't I will cut on friday.
the hps probably gave them another push, but i would expect that at 75 days they are more than ready. Whats this h20, water curing? never heard of it.
I read a post at Devils Harvest that said you can cure buds completely in 10 days in water. It said fill a cooler with cold water sink your buds in it for 7 days, changing the water every day. Then air dry the bud and smoke it. The buds look like **** in a side by side with jar cured buds. The post said the water cured weed was more potent and smooth taste. I have to try this but with only one big ass bud.I don't want to mess up an entire harvest if this method is BS.
