I just orderd 5 feminised strawberry haze, and 5 feminised arjan's haze #3(it's supposed to be more suitable for indoor because of it's limited heigth comparitive) I will be posting bi-weekly updates on the strawberry haze and the #3
I wouldn't waste my time or $$ with GH. There is a reason they call it arjan's ultra hay. Look into mrnice SSH or mango haze
HEHE. Arjans Ultra Hay #1, 2 & 3. If you want some real haze, smarmy nailed some great crosses. MNS SSH, Mango Haze, or Nevilles will give you better haze representations. I know Nevilles is out of stock, but Shanti is working on some new batches. If you want a real pure haze, try Ace Seeds OT1. But I dont recommend pure hazes for anyone but the pro's. They are a completely different animal than the indica's and hybrids most are used to growing. Different environments, and nutrient regiments are required. Plus the patience to wait 16-22 weeks for it to flower. And the skill set one needs to flower over that period of time.
Useless bro wouldn't you also say that sensi's silver haze would be a good one too. I'm pretty sure I remember shanti saying he was so blown away by the sensi silver haze he replicated it. Not using any of their actual genetics or anything just looked at what they did, collected his own specimens and then made his super silver haze. I think both are good. Guess it depends on if price is an issue, the sensi is a bit cheaper.
Actually shanti bred the SSH while he was the breeder at GHS. Sensi may heave replicated Shanti's, but I dont think it was the other way around. Unless you have some info I don't. Do you remember where you read that? Crap I dont remember off the top of my head what the genetics are in the SSH. Its (Haze A x Skunk) x (NL x Haze C). I think, I'd have to look it up again. LOL The Haze A and C may be reversed. But the hazes came from Neville, who was a partner of the GHS in the beginning. The parental stock was taken by Shanti when he left. So GHS is working from clones of the F1, or Made F2's and femm'd a sativa dom pheno. Not sure. I like Sensi Seeds. They do some good breeding work, and I could see them producing a good SSH. Especially since they had access to a lot of Nev's original stock back in the day. (If I am recalling my seedbank history correctly). I do know there was a lot of breeding stock being swapped and replicated at the time. (Mid to late 80's). I want to say Sensi bought Positronics stock when they closed. If you ask Sam the Skunk Man though, he brought the real haze over there, and Neville got one of his worst clones. And Eddie from the TFD is good friends with Sam, and got originals of Sam's stock. So maybe TFD might be a good place to look for a haze cross. Either way you go, the genetics will have bottlenecked towards whatever the breeder was trying to achieve. 20+ years of selective breeding really leaves the breeders "fingerprints" on the genetics. for babbling, I'm pretty damn stoned this morning.
I believe Mr.nices lineage is [Northern Lights #5 x N. Haze] X [skunk #1 x N. Haze] for the SSH And the Silver Haze from Sensi is (silver pearl x Haze) so if you take the lineage of the silver pearl its. ([Early Pearl X Skunk #1 X Northern Lights] x Haze) so I guess they are both kinda spins off the nevilles haze that is just (haze x northernlights) I think..... The info about shanti and sensi was over on HG420. Couldn't find the actual thread I was speaking of, but there is a recent one that seems to touch on it. Interesting Skunky, I honestly had never heard that before. But if that is the case, its quite the compliment to Sensi's SH. I would buy the Sensi on that alone, just to try it. Maybe the MNS SSH is : (Skunk #1 x Haze A) x (NL x Haze C). I think you are right that it was male hazes used, but I think the NL Haze male was used in the final crossing, not the Skunk Haze male. I dont know man, been a while. You are correct that Nev's haze is Haze x NL. Damn, you remember what the Early Pearl lineage is? I'd have to sort through some old SSSC and Cultivators Choice catalogs to find it.
I'm on my 3rd run of sensi's SH. Got it from a friend. It's one of the many hazes here in miami. Very impressed with it so far. It has a very exotic smell and taste. hazey but fruity. Here's a shot right before harvest
I got one female out of the 5 feminised seeds to grow(MY FAULT). And it was very tasty. But I'm not for GHS, the AH#3, seemed ... welll ripped off, not what they say it is.
Can you give us some details of what you liked and didnt like please? How was the high? What did it taste like? How did it grow? Yield? The AH I smoked was less impressive, but I always lie to hear other views.
