What's up ya'll? I just did a BHO extraction tonight with about 1 to 1.5 ounces of trim and underdeveloped buds from my previous grow. Here's a photo of my results. For some reason this batch turned out kind of cloudy as compared to previous attempts. I've always acheived a pure reddish oil until tonight.
mmm mmm mmm.........honey oil.............. looks mighty fine if i do say so myself...... cannot wait till my next run.......hopefully this weekend.......i'll post up some pics. how any ounces of butane did you use????? was the weed all in the tube at 1 time or did you make several runs????? i've only done this twice to date and i really wanna get a max yield this go 'round. I have 5, 6oz cans and roughly an ounce of mostly bud with some trimmings. i use the bho tube from okief.
I used two cans of vector butane, which is a pretty big can. Definitely more than 6oz each. As for the trim, I just did one run with the two cans of butane. I don't have a nice tube like that, just a homemade one that suits my needs. I just fill up the tube until it's like an inch or two from the top, cap it and unload both cans. I love honey oil. There's just nothing like it. The only downside is you don't realize you have taken an enormous hit until it's too late!
god i wish friggin' greenthumb420 hadn't taken his BHO thread and left. i could use the amount of butane that he was using. that vector butane looks like a very high quality product. i was trying to find what size the cans come in, but i had no luck. any way, i am gonna do my run this weekend. like I said, i have 5, 6 ounce cans. Prolly gonna do a straight bud run with 3 of those cans and a trim run with the other 2 cans. I went to double check the size of the can and it is 6 ounces. i'll try to snap a pic.............................. sorry for the high jack
After scraping it all up, I had a bit more than I expected. Then I added a good amount of kif. Whooo! I put a bit on top of my bud and blast off! The cans of vector are 320ml. I don't know what that translates into ounces, but it's a pretty large can.
I made a run of BHO today using the 320mL (roughly 10 ounces) of Vector butane today. I used about an ounce of leaves/trimmings, and mine came out much more yellow than yours, THSea. Not as potent? Ill take a picture and post it tonight. BTW, I've been lurking here for a week or two now, just havent posted. Thanks everyone for your help though. Update w/ pic:

thanks smokingbud. We need a lil expert "punch" to finish the tutorials in this forum. thanks for the info on the amount of butane too.. it'll be a while b4 i do another run since the mrs is prego...... :icon_confused:
