Blender Hash Trouble

I am bored awaiting my all mesh bags to make my hash with. so I decided to try the blender with a few handfulls of shake from beneath the drying screen where the shake from my plants is drying. I used a tray of ice and filled the blender 3/4 with cold cold water. then I threw in a handfull of powdered shake. put the blender on low for a few maybe 3 minutes. set it in the fridge to settle. after a while I dipped out the floating green noticing it was not even half of what went in. after taking the stuff off the top I put it back in the fridge for an hr and then proceeded to pour off the top and then the bottom through a nylon coffee filter. well the "bottom" was 2-3 inches of green plant material.
how the hell do I seperate it if the green settles too?
do I just put it in the back of the fridge and wait for my bags from wacky willys to arrive?
or is there some thing I can do now?
also anyone know what the micron rating of a nylon coffee filter is?

Drain the blended material through a mesh strainer or colander and into a glass or jar. This removes the green material. Then set the glass or jar in the fridge to settle. Once it settles, you can siphon off the water or drain the entire contents of the jar through a coffee filter, disposing of the water. The trichomes will all be collected in the coffee filter.

If I read your post right it seems you made two fairly common mistakes.

    1) You didn't remove the green material after blending, before the settling process.

    2) I think you might have misunderstood the use of the coffee filter. Using a coffee filter for QWISO as a filter is ideal, because the trichomes are literally dissolved into an oil. Oil drains through the filter. Whole trichomes, like you get with blender or bubble hash do NOT filter through the coffee filter. The coffee filter collects them.

Hope that makes sense, and helps.

    Cheers

Strain off the mix just after blending? ok that makes sense duh. I did let it settle then poured throu a nylon coffee filter collecting the water. then I set aside the green shit and filtered the water after sitting in fridge overnight thru a paper coffee filter, it worked awesome.

I started with a few handfuls of shake from drying and so far I have a 1/4+ oz. I'll take a few pics later and get on here. This was just a boredom thing while I await the arrival of the wacky bags (all mesh) I ordered.

Have you seen this blender hash method

This method looks almost too good to be true. And, from my first experience I ought to know, but think I goofed when I froze the blender with the lid off, and ice in it. I had way too much plant material stick along with the trichomes. I'm going to try again today with freezing the blender with the lid on, and no ice in it. Here is the short little video:
