A curious question. How do you handle your buds between curing and smoking? :anibong: granted, most of us (hopefully) cure in jars, We were wondering do any of you have a go between, ie: a baggie, plastic storage, or maybe you leave em in the jar. Just was curious as to which route you guys go. thanx asssit:
I use large sealable glass jars then take out a few days worth at a time and put into another smaller sealable jar hat I smoke from.
I put small quantities in the small rubber seal jars and pinch and smoke out of that. It retains the moisture and does not let the buds dry out completely making them smoke real nice. Teamster6
I go from tupperware tubs into small jelly or babyfood jars to travel in. I have a handful of film canisters aswell when i camp or need to keep the bud with the glass pipe. If i'm traveling on a plane i 2x euroseal that shit. If i am giving some to somebody they just get a baggie...Steelcity
Pretty much the same here, take it from the jar, into a sealable tupperware tub then eventually into da pipe. I'm like T6, I like it when my bud stays moist :thumbs-up:. asssit:
Mason Jars / Canning Jars of All Sizes Glass jars with air tight lids are crucial to prevent excessive drying and to contain odor. Pictured below are just a few of the smaller sizes. There are some larger varieties, too...for the big ballers. Brand names I've seen include Ball and Kerr. Long term storage (8 fl oz and 16 fl oz): Short term storage (first one on the left is 4 fl oz) holds 3-5g: Air tight lids like these are key for any jar. Keep air out and odor in! I don't care how aromatic your buds are...if you can smell them when the jar is closed, then it is not air tight.
We recently aqquired a Kief Box for Tronville and we really love it. It is large enough to hold a supply for easy access, keeps em at a very good moisture level for smoking and we can do all our smoking prep right there in the box and it is constantly making hash on the screen - We are quite pleased with it
:roffl::thumbs-up: Ive never had a harvest large enough where a simple mason jar didnt do the job. I was curious how some of you folks who grow fucking forests store your smoke though. Seems I remember reading somewhere about folks storing excess bud in the freezer but like its been mentioned, most of us prefer SOME moisture so the buds arent bone dry and harsh... I take it even though the stems snap and theres some moisture it still doesnt hurt anything to freeze it? Not that I will ever have a grow large enough to need to test this idea but it has been a curiosity.. Thoughts anyone?
I bought a case of these. They were a little expensive but they're real nice. I toss a few of these to keep the buds spot on. I then bought a few cheap mason jars at the grocery store for my everyday smoke and for traveling. Seems to do just fine:thumbs-up: :bong-2:
No freezers unless it's gotta stay for a LONG time or Rh is through the roof. I don't grow tons but when my 1kw cabs harvest they're a lb plus or minus. Jars are a pain in the ass with that much especially burping them everyday. I use 2 quart plastic storage tubs like for leftovers. They are really cheap and don't break when dropped on the tile. That and it's easier to get out buds instead of dumping the whole jar. Steelcity
