I'm pushing 50 and my mother in law still thinks I'm a kid. They came up for the weekend and noticed a big Herijuana growing outside of my bedroom. My father in law had stage four liver cancer. I made some oil and told his wife what it was. They are ultra conservative and to my surprise, she agreed to sneak it in to his food four times a day. He was too old and too weak for chemo. They gave him two weeks. That was over a year ago. Two months on RSO and he's completely cancer free. So, back to my story. I explained that I was making more oil for my sister who has lupus. She was totally accepting. She told her husband and he was cool too. The moral of the story I guess, is that cannabis is becoming more mainstream and the WW2 generation is starting to accept it. I am a happy stoner! Side note: we were also giving him ground up bitter apricot kernels at the recommendation of our Hydro store owner. We gave him a tablespoon a day divided up in his meals. I don't know if that stuff really works, but he's healthy, his color is back and he can walk again.
That's awesome man! What a great feeling it must be to know you made medicine that made such a difference in someone's life. What kind of concentrate did you make for him?
The number of seniors using cannabis would surprise you. I know of one 75 y/o retired exec in Florida praying it goes legal there so he can turn his lanai into a greenhouse.
I did a quick look-up of the Bitter Apricot Kernels. Seems like a lot of people are saying it worked on their cancer (and other things like fungus and warts). Bigbud214, you may want to check it out.
Thanks AB. I will look into it.... Start chemo on the 10th. I'm hoping oil helps me. Glad you made a difference jr
That's how it works man. A few people can do a lot. It not only helps another human being, those folks you've helped are the best advocates we have when they talk to friends or vote on an MJ initiative.
I made it with 92% ISO which I would replace with a food grade alcohol next time. I put it in a stainless pot, stirred and mashed it up for a few minutes before filtering it through a coffee filter. Rick Simpson says to use a rice cooker. I didn't have one at the time so I placed the coffee pot full of extract in my crock pot. After an hour or so I put about a tsp of water in it to keep it thinned out. Once the bubbles got big I sucked up the oil in to syringes and dipped the tips in melted wax to seal it. The bitter apricot kernels contain low levels of arsenic which is supposed to break down the cancer cells so the body can attack them. I got a pound of them for $40 at the hydro shop, but you can get them on line too. Faith, these meds and a lot of positive vibes did the trick. We also had him drinking about 80 oz of alkeline water a day. I forgot about that part.
