Guadalajara peeps, Those of you using diy carbon scrubbers or the fancy off the shelf types how much do you consume? Can you reactivate it urself?
Great question. I've never had to worry about odor, but I'm interested to hear what the life of the filters is. I'm sure the hydro store would gladly tell you all about it.
I'm willing to bet the hydro store would 'sell' me all about it. Id like to hear the 'real world' experience of growers of ganja indoors. I've never worried bout the odor either, but if I do this I will have to. I don't want to find out down the road that I'm buying 100 bux worth of this stuff every 6 months, although it might still be worth it. I'm pretty sure that you can cook the charcoal to clean it out but I'm not sure if that's doable in an oven or if its gotta be like 1200 degrees or someshit.
green goblin i agree..i would much rather hear real world experience..thats why i am here... rky i was surprised you said that...you always have such good info...i would have thought you would have answered different...anyways.. .you can sometimes buy carbon at home depot but not always...here in the southeast..i have never changed my carbon either...probably should..mine is about 5-6 years old and maybe 25 grows...and it still works good...at least the smell is still undetectable...its an oversized fat boy 6" exit by 3' long ...about 3' round as well... anyways..this is not much help...hopefully others will chime in... i use this one for my own personal use....http://www.flat-d.com/products.html

rky i was out surfing to see if i could get more info for green goblin and i saw that...i couldnt freggin believe that...carbon underwear for flagulation problems...lol
I had to change the carbon in mine at 8 months high humidity will do that. The bubblelious I was growing was a real stinker .You can buy the carbon on E-Bay cheap. The problem is you won't notice that it not working till someone tell you your house smells like weed:roffl: :roffl: :roffl: -Bud
prolly kinda expensive hey i'm new here and this is a old post but i thought i'd contribute, reactivating carbon takes drenching the carbon first with water then massive heat like a crematorium or something 2 chambers to run some kinda gas through it then baking it again and all the pollutants come out in the gas/steam the second time,about 10 yrs ago i heard there was something new thats used in pools and aquariums that can be baked out in the oven at home apparently it's some kinda chrystal type stuff i've been looking for it but have'nt found it yet, there was pic's and info about it on CannabisWorld.com but i think they are off the net now.
