Heres what im working with at the moment. Ill try to give regular updates when I can and if you see something i need to fix dont be shy! Here is a shot of my rez with a float valve, uv sterilizer and pump Heres a shot of my 1k hps on a light rail with air cooling ( need to hit up the hardware store and rig those vent lines up a little higher) A decent shot of my DIY Ein geddy system showing my ro filter that hooks into my rex on a float valve. And the babies waiting to go in... just have to wait a few days for better (longer) root development. Please critique as necessary!!!!
Everything looks good, although I'm not much of a hydro grower. Still, the room setup and clones look really nice.
Really cool setup MK. How does the hydro system work? I'll be tuned in to this one. :new_popcornsmiley: assit: :new_popcornsmiley:
I have a pump on a 3 minutes on and 5 off schedule that feeds into a manifold system which sprays into each tube creating a nice aerated solution which then runs back into the rez. 12 site system.
jesus! That looks like an awesome setup MK! I cannot wait to see what you produce...how many watts of light are you using?watts total?
Well Bone Saw is READYYYY! Nice set up MK. Question though where the hell is the membrane on your RO, all I see are the regular filters. It looks like it is plugged in too, whats the deal with that does it create its own pressure? Here is what my system looks like, it just has 3 pre-filter(sediment, carbon, coconut),the RO membrane, then a post DI filter and a final carbon filter. Is your membrane just blocked by the poly? Oh yea and where did you run that feed line from?
I'm running one thousand watt hortilux shps on a light rail. I haven't calculated total wattage for all my equipment.
The ro membrane is in the black tube on top...the water pressure coming out is really weak probally could use some supplemental pressure but my household water pressure is sufficient enough at the moment. It takes the ppms to 20-50. Brand model is stealth ro by hydro logic
Yea same with mine just couldn't tell if the membrane was there or not. What you need to do is hook up a res in between the filter and the systems res. I'm talking about the small little res you see in the picture above. That's why it seems that way, if you water pressure wasn't enough it wouldn't trickle, or would be worse than what I bet you are experiencing. The RO wastes a lot of water to make clean water and thats why you need the res. If you get one of those that will fix your problem. They actually have tanks you could use at lowes that are larger if you wanted. So is yours the single membrane or the dual? Looks pretty cool but I'm surprised they are selling it for that much with no tank or anything. I paid $140 for mine with the res and everything. If you ever need another one check this place http://www.purewaterclub.com/ they got everything UV inline filters for the water feed.
Yea same here before I got the res installed, that's all you need bro and you will have a few gallons on tap, it just fills the res as it is drained. Like I said if you wanted to do something bigger than 2-3 gal I would check out the tanks they have at lowes near the showers and sub pumps and stuff. When I first got mine I tried running it without a res because it took up most of my under the sink space.
Holy shit skunky! 123 buckaroos for a ro filter I got robbed hardcore...fucking hydro shop! I think i paid like 250 or something close to that. Christ they want like 90 for a replacement membrane. Oh well lesson learned I guess. Know where to get a good deal on atmospheric controllers with C02? Cheapest one that id want and have found is 200 and its pretty basic.
Nope I can't help ya on that one, I would hit up useless for that. I'm sure he may know of something. If you ever need a replacement membrane I'm sure they are pretty much all the same. I looked at some pics of your system and the membrane part looks the same other than its black. You can more than likely just get one off that site. I just checked and the 100GPD you use for your kit cost $35 shipped, so thats a nice bit of change. And that is the actual site I've ordered from in the past just so you know it is legit. I probably need to order me a new set of everything, it's only $55 for all the replacements. WOO HOO HAHA. But yea man hit up useless about that atmospheric controller .
Have some nice roots developing they're almost ready for transplant. Heres some pics of one of my deathstar moms And a shot of my mystery plants first one to guess what it is gets a cookie
The bushes look AWESOME, as for the mystery plant.. they almost look like celery greens, but that's probably wrong.
It kind of looks like a death star in the first pic. Time to toss em in the woods now they have done their job.
You got that deathstar mom lollipopped to the point that it looks like a tea rose. It'd look like a cola candleabra if you ever flowered it. Nice work MK. cheers,
