Oh my FUCKING GOD!!!!!! They kill fucking Rita! Harrison in the blood like Dexter. Omfg, I teared up. Oh my god. That rivaled the final scene of Six Feet under when claire is driving off. That just ripped my heart out.. I've watched Dexter since the very vyer first episode ever shown. I was detoxing at my parents house and it was on late, the first night it ever came on... I feel like I just lost a friend.
This show is amazing. and I can't believe they killed off the only hot girl! Rita was smoking, but the storyline is so awesome I don't even care.
I too watched it since day one and the show is amazing....the stpry line and plots are those nail biter moments. Actually teared up and was in shock they killed off Rita....wtf!?? Can not imagine what Dex will do next season being his wife was killed not to mention his baby was born in blood as he was.
I'm assuming Lithgow murdered her as part of his cycle after missing out on the little boy. But could the twist be that it was actually suicide? Or am I just being dense? cheers,
I had to turn it off when I saw Rita. My son is only 11 mo old and seeing that scene just threw me. Totally didn't expect it and wasn't prepared to see it.
Rita... She got killed because she was trying to bone michael c hall on the set, and his wife jennifer carpenter, didnt like it... and she was getting annoyed at her at the comiccon so they killed her so they wouldnt have to deal with her anymore. See how shes trying to get some at Puff daddys party, thats cause she got dropped from dexter, and is trying anything to get picked up. (has a job interview with tmz cause he has his sources) lol jk. lol this is all bs... or is it

Damn, am I the only one that wasn't that sad to see her go? I'm mean Julie Benz is hot and all, but if I had to hear her too-quiet voice complain to dexter about one more thing...... It does raise a lot of questions about next season though. What are they gonna do with the kids. Hopefully he doesn't get saddled with all three. What are the police gonna think about trinity killing dex's wife? I guess we'll all find out in a fng year. I hate how long showtime takes in between respective seasons, it's brutal. No he killed her......or that is what I think. I liked her.....she was perfect for him since she was naive and also sweet. Here is my take......they will think she was killed due to his sister being tied into the murders. I think he will prolly keep the baby but maybe the other 2 kids may go with the grandparents?? He does love the kids and he actually did love Rita. Remember he stated, "why do I have no remorse when I kill a bad guy" but yet then said "I feel bad when I make Rita sad?" My take is he will be a good daddy since his step dad was to him....also I did tear up to see his son sitting in a pool of blood just like him when he was a toddler. Hmmmm who knows what will happen??? All I know that show was and has been nail biting and this last season ending was a total shock!!!! I never saw that coming and I bet John wins an award for his performance for he is an amazing actor. :thumbsup:
plot synopsis Hi Mermaid. I really did enjoy reading your post and you got some good takes. That's what's up. :thumbsup: But I never really liked the Rita character and I'm glad the writers killed off her character so she won't be in anymore episodes. Now Dex can go about without having to lie to her all the time and hide who is and constantly pretend when he's with her. He doesn't have to be bothered with hiding his shit from Rita. He's free of that dead weight.....pun intended. Seriously, Rita was so goddamn annoying and I'm happy that she's gone.
Great show and book, my take is his sister being the clever detective she is will put 2 and 2 together. I mean she found out Dexter's brother was the serial killer she was dating, & Dexter saved Deb from his brother killing her a season or two ago. She found out about their dad Harry and his secrets, and then Dexter was in the garage of trinity killers garage asap before any other forensics people. I think he has some explaining to do to with his sister next season along with figure out about the kids etc. Now on Rita being killed I think when trinity found out Dexter's real identity he must of researched where Dexter lives, and found out he has a perfect wife to end his killing cycle. I also think trinity was trying to kill himself sense unlike Dexter his killings were more random and were not bad guys. Also in the season 4 I think trinity tried to kill himself 2 other times. 1. By trying to get killed in a bar fight with the drunk guys coming out of a bar and then he yelled shit at him to piss the guy off. 2. When Dexter went with him to kill him and failed and ended up saving trinity, trinity tryed jumping. Rita she was kind of annoying I have to admit kept getting in the way with Dexter's alter ego such as the dark passenger. Dexter has been slacking everyone knows what kind of monsters are lurking in the shadows of Dade city, and some one has to stop them! :bong2::bong2::fly:
Anybody else watching this season of Dexter? Its really getting good now, and this season is kicking ass so far!
I haven't missed an episode. I fng love that show, and this season has been pretty good so far. I'm not a big fan of Julia Styles, but I think she's made a pretty good character. I just hope they don't try to make her a romantic interest since she's the only other living person to know Dex's secret. -tC
HOLY SHIT its the season finale next week and its getting intense! what a great season so far, but I really don't want it to be over. Carpenter, you called it man. Lumen did turn out to be his new "romantic interest", but I think they've done a good job incorporating her into the story. I got a feeling that Deb, Dex's sister, is about to find out what Dexter does for fun. As a matter of fact, it wouldn't be anything new- In the Dexter novels she already knows his secrets, found out in the first book. Anybody else as excited about the finale as I am?
I can't wait for the season finale next week. You're right link, Lumen being a romantic interest has been better for the story than I thought. I was so happy to see him finally kill the P.I., I wonder if Quinn is gonna get stuck with it since he has the blood on his shoes. I've never read the books, but I think Deb would be cool with what Dexter does, especially the way she's been empathizing with the "vigilantes" over the last few episodes. Should be a good one for sure. -tC
