I was cracking up last night when my wife was looking over the electric bill and noticed that it shows the bulk of our power usage is between 5pm and 5am. She was perplexed trying to figure out how this could be. DUH! Think about that whirring and humming sound you hear all night. OH! I had to go back and edit this. This is post number 420. That deserves being noticed, I guess.

Once you get a "Smart Meter" yours will be broken down like that too. It sends your usage info to the power co. every hour on the hour. asssit:
Wholes house battery back up. Kinda pricey but good excuse. It charges at night because power is cheaper, then you use that stored battery power during the day. Other than that, stagger light on/off times but you lose the benefit over the over lapping lights which give you additional room to grow because you would need separate rooms.
Don't waste your time. They have no clue what you are running, could be fish tanks, ac, shop equipment... This is my smart meter reading for July. The information you see here is all it knows about, it does NOT know what is using the electricity.
