Ok its my 1st grow and Ive learned a ton from it. Im on week 8 of flowering and I havent seen any new growth in about 3 weeks now. I know the growth slows a little the farther into flowering you go but I havent seen any growth. I think the problem is that during veg the girl got topped like 10 times. (I know thats dumb but my friend did it.) So I have 6 tops with decent size buds on it. looks like about an 1/8 per bud. What sucks is that the plant is completely leaning on the wall to stand up. So its realy cramped since they are all leaning on the wall. My question is there anything I can do to make them grow more. Im using tiger bloom, liquid karma, and botanicare bloom enhancer. Under a 250 W HPS. Oh yea another concern of mine is that the plant isnt absorbing water as fast as it used to. I used to water every 3 days. Now it needs water like once a week or longer. Whats up with that?
8 Weeks flowering? Isn't that like the end of the flowering cycle? Perhaps the reason it isn't growing is it's done ?! Other than that how large a pot is it in? Randy
2 1/2 gallon pots. Maybe they are done. Im waiting on an eye loop I bought off of e-bay so I can take a look at the trichomes. I was planning on letting them flower a little longer because I wasnt giving them flowering nutes they needed for the first 3 1/2 weeks of flowering.
Are the hairs turned over yet? I know the hair color doesnt matter....but Im just trying to gather info that you have right now? 8 weeks....have you been flushing at all in the past week or two at all?

Just guessing Answer Tibbs Q.. He has more experience than I.. Best of luck. Randy An after thought : when you pull them take a look at the roots. If they are bound then it's wise to increase your pot size for the style of growing your are doing. I believe a larger root area equals a better plant. The hairs are white and long. Dont know what you mean by "turned over". I flushed once last week. The plant smells real dank too. If you touch it for a second your hand reaks of herb.
When I say turned over, I mean have any of the hairs turned color(orange, red, brownish)? If you could put a percentage on the amount of hairs that have dried or "turned over" on the whole plant....what would it be? 50%?
Besides the other questions, do you know what strain it is? Sativa?, Indica? a Cross? Are the leaves long and thin?(Sativa Or big and fat?(Indica) Or kinda in-between? (Cross) I ask because Sativas and Sativa-dominant strains can take 10 weeks or longer. I am flowering a White Rhino now that is definitely Sativa-dominant and the growers on Cannagenetics recommend 10 weeks. The loupe is definitely the way to go if you can wait.
Don't transplant at this stage. If the plant is hardly using water anymore, that probably means it's finished.
Id say about 20-30% of the hairs have turned a orange/brown color. Not sure about the strain b/c they were bag seeds. The leaves are kinda long and skinny though. Possibly a indica sativa mix. alot of the leaves are starting to wilt though. Its about time to water. Should I flush once more then harvest? Or give them another dose of nutes? The eye loupe may not be here for a week or so.
Im going out on a limb here.... Its sounding like you have an sativa dominant strain. If only 30% of the hairs have turned id say another week to two. I would give them a final flush and wait it out.
go along with the flush as advised. I use 2 1/3 gallon pots and 3 feet is about as tall as they get due to that. They can only get so big in certain pots. Growth slows at the end of the cycle man. They are just getting close is all we are trying to say, I think.
I just gave it its last watering with a very full dose of nutes. Ill give it a few days then flush and harvest. Sound like a good idea to everyone? Thanks a ton to all for getting me through my first grow.
Is it normal at the end of flowering for the fan leaves to wilt? Some are turneing yellow and some are getting spots on them.
it's GOOD that the leaves are turning yellow and dying. that indicates the plant is using nitrogen stored in the leaves for energy. if you can time the flush just right the plant will finish with no big fan leaves and few small bud leaves that are still green. the result is much less plant taste and a lot more flavor in your buds. check out how my blueberry finished... day 44: day 51: blueberry has the trait of leaves that turn purple and yellow as the plant consumes its stored nitrogen whereas most just turn yellow. notice how there are very few large fan leaves just days prior to harvest. these buds taste GREAT!
