I read somewhere that you could put a cardboard box over a plant to force flower, but is it ok to do this within the first two weeks of vegetation??

Forcing flowering on a 2 week old plant would be a waste of time.

It would probably take forever too.

To flower you put a plant into 12/12 light/dark, therefor what force flowering is doing is artificially creating a 12 hour dark peroid by putting a box over one plant in a b=veg chamber (ie to determine sex) unfortunatly (IMO) this will increase chances of hermie'ing as it subjects the plant to light stress...

if the box was put straight on and not lifted for the whole 12 hours it should not stress it.it would be the same as turning off the light(thats if the box is big enough).
