the organic mix-red bag- should this be mixed with perlite and such or is it really.."ready to use?" Also, will it require nutes or does it come stocked? thanks!

.....in my opinion, the question you ask is more streamlined to the gardener's specific needs and choices.

Some feed their plants more often than others and prefer a lighter mix..(eg..adding perlite) which gives the root zone more aeration; a plus.

Others can handle a soil which is straight out of the bag and prefer it.

There are gardeners that mix the Red Bag (original potting soil) with Ocean Forest (premium potting soil).

The major difference shown; as in the valuable Foxfarm site link, is that Ocean Forest has marine additives (fish, shrimp, crab, and kelp meal in addition to more perlite added)

Foxfarm makes one of the premium potting soils, soil conditioners and soilless mediums being sold today. There are plenty that do the same also.

The Ocean Forest soil is stocked for about a solid 3 weeks good growth....from my experiences the plant will show signs of hunger by then.

After 2 weeks I feed 1/4 strength and begin moving the seedlings along slowly.

We as Cannabis Gardeners push our little babies as hard as we can with feedings, light and an environment that we make favorable for the best quality, quantity and sheer enjoyment of it all.

My choice in any of the soils or soilless mixes would be to add perlite because of slight compacting of the soil over a few weeks of watering.

In addition the Red Bag seems to hold more moisture....but it's personal choice in the end.
