If my math is correct (math being my calculator) that comes out to just under $800 per pound. Are they sure this wasn't an oregano shipment? Rene Louis Coronado, 35, of San Antonio, remained in La Salle County Jail in lieu of a $150,000 bond on a charge of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver. Around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, Coronado was driving northbound on Interstate 35 from Laredo when an officer noticed his 18-wheeler was speeding and pulled him over, Thomas said. Coronado appeared nervous, giving conflicting accounts about his final destination. After Coronado consented to a search of the truck, the officer discovered dozens of duffel bags in the back, holding plastic bags filled with 1,795 pounds of marijuana -- an amount with an estimated street value of $1,432,000. The plastic bags appeared to be doused in Clorox to hide the marijuana's odor, Thomas said. "This is record seized for us. We've been knocking down 100 pounds, 200 pounds, but never this much," Thomas said, adding, "they took a pretty big hit."
You can tell it was schwag because when cops bust good shit, they usually say so... Like: "Police seized 100 pounds of high-grade marijuana, valued at over $1,000,000...." Cops think they did an "extra-special" job when they bust some chronic. Weed's really cheap in Texas and Oklahoma... mostly Mexican Sativa... Brickweed. In my Ft. Sill Oklahoma days, I could get that shit all day long for fifty to sixty bucks an oz.
I'm still shocked at the prices though. I "knew a kid" who used to push brick weed back in high school and that stuff went for like $375 - $450 a QP. $800 for an elbow seems insanely low, I just can't imagine it to be of worse quality that the shit "my friend" used to get. "This kid" grew up in Boston, so I guess transportation costs come into effect as opposed to living within a few hundred miles of the border.
I live a couple hrs from Laredo...it's Mexican brick..I buy it all the time for cheap money...just picked some up ..$125 for a QP...a whole once of seeds and stem though..but supercheap....
Im in central texas and I get dirty old shwag for 40 an oz. 100-120 for a qp, but for some real weed its an arm and a leg
