Lots of qualified members here on GK and agree skunky knows his shit! As do the rest of you .....each member adds flavor or their skills to the boards. Really do not think they go by whether it is a noob or old timer. Anywhos....usually the admin pick who they feel is the "right fit" or person to do the job. I am sure they listen to the member's views but in the end it has to be a person who is level headed, fair, intelligent, and who can have a sense of humor when things are crazy around here. Lately it is pretty calm and has been for sometime. Yes they should know how to grow and be knowledgeable in most areas of growing or at least one. I have not heard they were looking for one and quite honestly it looks as though we have plenty for the time being unless someone was to leave. Peace ~mermaid

Actually I campaigned for him and he also went to the dungeon>>naughty boy he is. We needed good and evil to balance out admin so skuzz is the evil mod..:thumbsup: Psst....actually I think he wants to be evil but is prolly just a big ol pussy cat!
Thanks for the vote of confidence Wiz...but I nominate *YOU* as overall coffee getter, toilet plunger, bad guy, good guy, confidant, playground monitor and overall devisor of all that is occuring on the board (add to the list "Chief Yeti Butt Licker" but we don't like to talk about that part of the job). The rest of the mods should take a week off and let Wiz do ALL the work for his pernicious act of nominating. He who speaks up gets the job dude. Skunk is a true ganja guru. ive been around GK awhile, done plenty of reading. i just dont like Skunky j/k of course! i wish i was half the GK'er he is. BUT, last week i thought Wizard was a mod and pm'ed him needing some help. he let me know he wasnt a mod but still gave me good advice and sent me in the right direction. again thanks Wizard! and his name sounds cool, WIZARD!

I think you were born a scientist and prolly were way ahead of all the kids growing up. Least it seems you are and you remind me of my little one for she read before age 4 and stumped teachers with her knowledge in science and even other studies. Kid never studies, always gets straight A's and they have to challenge her. Bet you too were that child growing up, maybe I am wrong but I would put money on it...lol Resin, Wiz, TheCarpenter, Headcase, GFam, and so many on here are just GREAT growers and a asset to our boards! Do not have to be the chief to get recognized for your outstanding abilities either. Sometimes being the busy bee is a far important job IMO for you are on here helping out noobies and other growers so your planting the seeds in the minds of newbies each day.....kudos to you all!!
i like res..and skunky and the otherts that JUST missed out by one vote,etc ....and each one has different qualities they bring to the table:thumbsup: I would give res a vote if he was ever around next time and on the shortlist we vote on but there are many others,also each mod has their own opinion on whos good to get 'tapped',no one mod has final say tho herbs got power if needed to bring in who he wants but he runs a democratic administration unlike the govt's of the world:icon_wink: ...besides HOW do you all know resin and skunky werent already on the mod shortlist that we cut down to 3
LOL thanks. I hated school, it was too easy. Seemed like we just kept doing the same thing and not really learning anything new. My grades began to sink in high school though because I just quit going. I skipped all the time to go get high and skate(board). That was way more challenging and fun. Funny because the only classes I still had somewhat good grades in was my math and science classes, even though I never studied or did homework. College was a whole different story. Mainly because I had decided there was no mother fucking way I would wait tables or something like that anymore. I HATED IT! Anyways I'm not going to get into the college stuff because I don't want to sound like I'm full of my self, but I will say I did much better.:thumbsup:
a lotta ppl dont wanna be a mod TBH imo being a mod aint about being a better grower ior a clever guy like skunky is or how long you been on the site,its about what you can offer and bring to the table and trust me we dont have no two mods the same yet we ALL sing from the same hymn sheet ior are on the same wavelenght...its like skull and bones,you gotta go through the 'initiations' before your even considered to get 'tapped'lol,just messing.... herb usually observes as we all do cos we read every damn post,lol,then herb consults webby maybe and then puts it to us,we all suggest names but only a few make the shortlist,every member has the potential to be mod but ya know the truth of it????Just like skunky says,a LOT of members wouldnt thank you for it,they prefer to cruise the forum and thats all.I love being a mod cos i love growkind,nothing to do with my obscene wages i get
oh damn and here I was hoping to be the first openly female moderator...NOT NOT NOT. I like tossing sand and running with scizzors, and I do pull hair and spit. In fact in third grade when a girl cut in front of me on the slide, I shoved her lollipop down her throat. Ummm why do I get the idea I would never make any short list except for the criminally insane poster child.:icon_confused: I think the mods have a huge ass job because it might be quite now but boy howdy when it ain't quiet is is just to much fun.
