I have heard of plenty of ways germinate your seeds. I was wondering which way to germinate is the best. Cause I heard the paper towel one works well but it has to be in total darkness. And I want to use the cup of water one but I dont see how that works!! I need help cause planting season is almost over where I live!! Be as detailed as possible PLZ!!!!
Just throw abunch of seeds inbetween some wet papertowels, fold it up, put it in a ziplock, and throw the bag under your matress for like 2-3 days. done. (when laying the seeds in the papertowel, do it neatly, space them out and so forth.)
the water softens up the shell so its easyer for the root to break out and when 24 hrs are over put them in soil and thats it you can also do 12 hrs in a cup full of water but it all depends how long you want to keep em in there
germinating you could always use the paper towel method. (its really, REALLY easy) if you need total darkness, why dont you try putting them in a shoe box or something. just a thought. peace
heat? they need heat as far as room temp like 70-80, but i think some people use heating pads for their seedlings and clones. i have always just germinated mine in room temp, with the same method. hope i could help, peace
I put my seeds in the wet paper towel, then into a sealed tupperware, and place them on top of the stove. <------ NOT OVER THE BURNERS (the pilot lights keep the top of the stove nice-n-warm) P.S. must be a gas stove, stoners!!!
Germination Ok and what about watering the paper twoel everyday...Do I have to do that?? If so warm or cold??
The way that works best for me is getting 2 plates, puttin wet paper towl down,on the first plate, whixh would be sitting rite side up and putting the seeds on the towl, and then fold over, and place other plate on top, upside down this allows a little bit of air flow, and total darkness
you dont need a heat pad man just put it on your computer screen or on a tv that works great makes the humidity in the zip lock bag go up wivh is better
Thanks Thanks 2 all of yall who have helped me with my germination process......I ended up using the paper towel method and it actually worked. The seeds do need a little bit of heat. I put them in the trunk of an old car and it worked. Again I say thanx!!
