Yes, it can be linked to twitter, facebook, tumblr, foursquare, and one other i cant remember:jj:. Ive already linked the fb and twitter accounts, only problem is i have a hard time loading to all three at once, so ive been posting them to instagram first, then sharing on fb. Havent shared to twitter yet. But ive ran out of any pics i had so i need some more member content, ie- we need some bud and plant shots from ya'll! :bong-2:
Question about instagram. I was gonna download the app but it said something about allowing gps location. Does anyone know if it overrides or won't work if you have the gps feature turned off on your phone?
I read that but it doesn't specifically mention whether or not it overrides your phone settings. I don't want a bunch of my pics floating around the internet with the gps coordinates to my house on them, regardless of whether or not the info is supposedly private. I just thought I would get on board with more of the social media stuff but I'm not putting my gps coordinates out there on the internet.
no it shouldn't override because it would use the gps from your phone, if supernoid about it, try putting it airplane mode....never tried that myself but in theory it should work because it stops your phone from send/rec info from cell towers. Then upload them after.
If you have geotagging turned off then there shouldn't be any location information uploaded from your phone to Instagram. It sould be easy enough to test using a safe picture wouldn't it?
Well im not a webmaster or anything close to one, but ive had an instagram, youtube, and FB for solely MJ content for a while now and have not had any devastating repercussions from it. There are literally thousands of people posting grow, bud and paraphernalia pics daily, the gov. Cant track it all. But if youre uneasy, i can post for you so only my ip is the one that shows. And if you go through all the app and device settings, there are options on location services you can edit.

Okay so it seems that yes, if the gps location service is turned off on my android phone then no location info is saved or uploaded to instagram from what I can tell. Seems safe enough to me. I setup an account and linked in to my facebook. I'm following a few facebook friends and the GrowKindForum page. How do I share my pics to the GrowKind page? I'm still figuring it all out.
