Well finally, i hope this thread doesn't disappear like the last one. I put out 4 plants and a week later i went back (this morning ) to find two plants were missing. Where i had 2 GS clones were now just two holes with soil around them. I don't put blood meal or bone in the soil so coons have been ruled out. I believe it was armadillos. They feed off roots and dig into the ground to find them. I have holes all over my yard from it and have seen a couple of the clumsy sh*ts. So far i have my SWT#4 mom, a SWT#4 clone, WW clone, and a purple rhino. I still have to put out another ww clone,2 haze seedlings, and a bubblegum. I'll try to update this thread from my infrequent visits. Now let me go tend my wounds from the thorns, mosquitos, and red bugs. This is our pet racoon i showed last year. Now she's much bigger and has had two babies....they usually hang out in the trees while she's chowing.
Thanks everyone. Indy the longest day of the summer was mon. and we start losing minutes of daylight from here on out. We're still on 15 hour days and usually plants start to bud mid Aug, even though the fall equinox isn't until sept. I think i'm going to venture out tommorrow to put more clones in. It's been raining off and on for 2 weeks now but the plants don't seem to be affected.
COOL! nice plants GT, very impressive, sorry to hear about those bastar amrmadillo's. It was cool to see a racoon too, i've never seen one before. THanks!
GT...is this in a new spot from last time? Hopefully they won't be doing any logging till your done this round.
LOL, yeah herb different spot...but that's still no guarantee. I've got them so spread out this time that if it does happen they should still miss a few. It's been a solid 2 weeks of rain here and today was the first day it hasn't rained. I was going to put some more out sun. but woke up at 5am to the sound of thunderstorms. I briefly checked them today and they're happy as can be....surpised they weren't droopy. That confirms my suspicions that the soil drains better than originally thought. They're actually on a hill and all the run off goes down in the bog. Well i still have 2 haze seedlings, a bubblegum, another ww clone,gs clone, and swt clone. Haven't made up my mind if i'll put all of them out because digging holes is not my idea of fun.....especially when you have to swat the vampires away LOL. I am dis appointed about the bubblegum seeds. I germed 3, 1 was a complete dud, the other started it's tap root and then halted...leaving one left. All the seedlings were germed in Sensa-soak so we'll see how the male/female ratio is.
