There are 2 plants I just harvested a week ago. I grew them hempy style, the temps in my flower room with the lights on were pushing 102 at the top of the canopy, around 95 at the tops of the buckets or base of the plants. I skoked some of a smaller bud that was about dry, it tasted bad and after smoking a bowl I was not impressed at all with the potency. Dixie mentioned in a post that my thc would suffer but damn.

I guess he was extremely correct. My winter grow got really cold I ihink that only affected the growth and end weight. it was not a monster harvest like it was supposed to be, but damn that was some good smoke covered with crystals.

I've had heat issues and I've not noticed it affecting potency. Those temps are alittle HIGHer than I had, so who knows. I still don't believe it.

My grandmother always told me that most fuiting plants withhold some fruit if temps go over 90 to try and conserve water. She was hella good farmer, but I don't know if this would carry over to MJ. It may though as most people link them tomatoes, don't know what that would do to trich production though

Right. You'll notice a difference in size/density, 'foxtailing', but potency???

these were clones from my winter harvest, it should have been some what simular. I have a clone I just put in to flower, now that it has a/c I can see what proper temps will do.

mine's about 94F/ and between 80-90% relative humidity and it seems to be producing plenty of resin in partial shade. 'course it is getting actual sunlight, too.

not sure bout (heat) causing low potentcy...heat will stunt and cause very slow growth...loose flowers and alot of stretching but low T.H.C. im not thinking....could be the plants were stressed a bit due to the heat and maybe were affected but there are a good number of plant strains that are potent as hell whos landrace sweetspot location gets way hot and the smoke is crusher!!!! id say it was other factors involved in your plants lack of power....i have a room for just one pure sativa....tree...14 wk flower....i pump it full of carbon dioxide and temps get into the 100s on some days .....as long as my co2 remains high she will take it....buds are loose and fluffy however really (get high) personal smoke thats crazy potent.....anyway im just not sold on heat being a factor in yer lack of potentcy.

I'm not running any co2 yet maybe thats the difference.

Like I said they were clones and thier moms rocked.

But I know if I had to choose I think I would pick cold over heat in the flower room

I got those 2 "hot" plants dried out, 49 grams total wieght. after smoking a little more it's not that bad,(maybe I was already stoned when I tried it) just not what I expected it to be. It takes a bowl and a half before i'm ready to put the pipe down. But it still has a funny spice cabinet smell to it, hopefully once it's cured it will taste a little better. But either way I don't have to buy schwag for a couple weeks. The master kush should be almost ready by then.
