Not sure I understand your Q. "Bad light"? If you mean an irregular light cycle, it can change females into hemprodite's/males in as little as a week.
well like when my plants were in there dark cycle of the 18/6 my room light was on for like and hour of that time leaking light into my closet. would that be enough light to change it into a hermie. how much light would it take to effect them?
Dave there is no real set amount of stress or time it will take to turn a plant hermie, a light leek or a fluctuation in there photopieriod of 10 minutes or more per day over a few or more days could cause enough stress to turn a plant hermie.
get yourself some duct tape or some weather stripping to seal that door jam up. fix problems before they become real problems. you definetly dont want that light leakage when you go to flower.
I had 1 plant go partially Hermie. I was on 12/12 light cycle, and the plant was about 5 weeks into flowering. One light cycle went 18 hours too long and within 3 days I had hermie growth one one plant. The others were fine. I have had minor amounts of light leaking during dark cyces regularly and no hermie growth. I think you need a major light/dark abnormality to bring on Hermies, but it is also partly genetics.
llIndigoll that happends often, during the last few weeks of flowering if the plant is not pollinated they are more likely to go hermie and even sometimes go hermie even if you dont stress them but in the last weeks a light leek or messed up photopieriod could be enough to set them off.
