that depends on what you are trying to accomplish....a little background on what you are looking for and how much time you have would be good Hello BTW
I have a basement that I can use. Not looking into a massive set up 1 maybe two 1K bulbs at most. I plan on using soil. Hydro seems intimidating.
Do you want to just produce enough for you, or for you and your friends? And what kind of budget do you have in mind?:bong-2:
hempys..easy hydro...easy everything. You don't have to worry about nutes because they only nutes available are what you feed. So takes the pain out of trying to figure out the soil. The dirt guys may chime in as they all grow killer, but to me, hempy=ez and don't let CCrete talk you into going to HTG:roffl:
The guys like "hi" and we're like "50 questions" I was same, found hydro intimidating so went with soil grows in my closet with some 400w hps lights.Best route i coulda went down:jj:
If you want to grow plants like this, then I advise you Listen to the advice of the long time growers here on GK. :redbong:
I've got about 5K to spend on my new hobby. I'm going to UTMFSE for awhile to get a grasp and then I'll get to asking questions. I don't wanna be "that guy" lol. Mainly though (for now at least) I'd like to know what equipment gives me the most value and dependability for my dollar and yes MrGreenJeans I'd absolutely love to grow plants like that and only enough for myself and maybe a buddy or two. I have never grown pot before (I always have a killer garden though) So my experience is lacking. Also thank you all for the warm welcome you guys rock.
I second what Nippie said, hempy is easy. I just started growing again after several decades and I started in soil. Once I went to hempy I never looked back. That plant MRGJ is showing you was grown in hempy. Do you have place to grow in mind? What is your vision for your room? This is my setup. I can run two 1kw lights in here in the winter and not have to run an ac.
Well when your ready to start asking those questions I would say start by posting a thread in the beginners lounge, and build from there. You'll get allot of help if you just listen.
