How to root cutting's in 5 to 7 day's with your exsisting hydroponic equipment.

Simple, easy to use system with little maintance. Requires no misting, no domes, no rooting agent's and no ph adjusting.

You can use your dwc or swc systems for rooting...just raise the water in your res to submerg the cutting's stem.

Plain tap water with a starting ppm of 50(.5) up to 200 (.5) and a PH of 7.0 can be used. Lowering the PH from my experience is pointless. The main thing's to rember are keep everything clean and max your DO leavels by keeping temp's cool. 65 to 78 is ideal. Use an air pump 2 times the size of the res ie 10 galon res use a air pump good for 20 galons.

Using 1" air stones will greatly increase your amount of bubbles but almost any size air stones or bubble curtin's can be used.

Mediumless or the use of a medium like grow rock's, lava rock's and coco coir among others can be used.

I use a 10 galon Homz or Stirlite tub w/ a 10 galon wisper air pump and 2 1" air stones. Any size res can be used and it can even be clear.

After you take your cutting make sure the cutting's stem is submerged at least 1" into the res water. Keep the cutting's stem submerged till it root's. It is usally with in 5 to 7 day's however, some do take longer.

Keep the system clean by dumping, washing and refilling it every 7 to 10 day's. Adding h202 @ 1 tsp to 1 tbsp a galon or 5 to 15 mls a galon every few day's will help keep the system clean & it will add oxigen to the res but I don't add anything except plain fresh tap water.

    H2o + O2 = Root's... Fraze coined by Joecrowe.

No need to add any rooting hormones into the system or to the cutting's stem however, water solutible gel's or solutions like Rootec or Oliva's can be used thoe I noticed no difference in rooting times.

Once the cutting has rooted you can place the cutting into the medium of choise. If it is a soil or soiless medium, water heavy the 1st time then allow the medium to dry out compleatly befor watering again so the root mass can turn into soil root's.
