what does this mean for me?should i be tearing shit down right now?anyone familiar with what i should expect?
i don't know,it didn't matter,i was expecting some beans in it and they were not there,the envelope was torn open.anyone know what the post office does for this situation?report it to the authorities or confiscate it and send the rest of the package?should i expect a visit from the sheriff? no confiscation letter or anything
ah I see, wasn't exactly sure what u were talkin bout, damn man I dunno. If the post office had torn it they usualy would put it in a baggie with a note on it sayin somthn to the effect of got torn by the post office.
Weird sounds like someone stole your beans. If the post office had got them they would confiscate them and send you a letter. The bright tape on the package is a dead give away too.
Dont worry about it. Sometimes letters get fucked up in transit. Had many a letter get torn up while in the hands of the post office. Besides Even if you are sent seeds and get caught. There is no proof of anything other than someone tried to send you seeds. If you are ever asked or confronted about it. It is just deny. No proof on yopur behalf. Now the one sending is another story. Thats why when I send seeds out, I dont put a real return addy on it. So what seeds were lost??? What strain?
When I had seeds picked up by the post office it came with a letter saying it had been confiscated had a case number with a phone number to contact to dispute the claim (YEA RIGHT!). And it had some bright ass green tape on the envelope itself. The letter will look something like these. The first are newer ones I believe. I'm pretty sure these were from people who attempted to buy pharmceutical online without a script from foriegn pharmacies. I know the last one was for anabolic steroids that got confiscated.
got one a while back Couple of months now. I waited and waited. No beans...no beans...come on man! I want my BEANS! Eventually I get an empty envelope from the seed company. Next I get a letter stating that the contents had been confiscated by Customs. No other contact. I ordered more and presto. Beans! Dunno what to do. I figure if LEO wants to kick my door in for 11 beans...have at me baby. Waste yer LEO $$$$ on me and miss the guys like browndirtwarrior out on the frontlines. What'll they get? 8 immature plants. 4 -3" clones, one hermie and six freezer beans. Sounds like a misdemeanor negotiation to me. At some point we gotta realize what we are doing is indeed illegal and accept the risks involved. cheers and sleep well, methinks there are bigger fish for DEA to fry.
thanks guys.dea i'm sure could give a shit,its the local guys i'm sweating,i just had no idea what the post office would do about it as it was from one state tro another and not a customs issue.i appreciate the help guys,without you i'd surely have torn it all down.
Sound like it got caught in a sorting device... I had a room mate that moved cross country and took a house key...he mailed it back, by itself in a standard envelope. I got the envelope with a little tear in the corner and no key... Sounds similar. I remember mailing some oddly shaped things as a kid and we wrote "Please Hand Cancel" on it so that they would know not to put it in the sorter with all of the other envelopes. That plan seems fine if you don't care about attracting attention... Best of luck man, sorry about your seeds Grat
that you lost your seeds, that would freak me out too. But I agree with the other guys, if it had be "officially" seized there would have been more to it. Seem as though you got hit by some shady ass Post employees. Happened to my buddy who moved to Michigan and send himself several boxes of stuff. Upon arrival he noticed that the boxes have been tampered with, someone had taken the hookah, sunglasses, and passport. Hand picked items by the employees of the US Postal service
