I've got a girl about 18 days into flower, unknown Indica Bag seed. Well actually I have 4 and I dont have room for that many. I was gonna give one to a friend of mind and he has a place for it outside. Question is, since it's so early into the growing season, will this even work? I mean putting a budding plant outside and increasing the light time . What will happen. Will it revert back to veg, or continue to mature on it's path? Will it just finish out the flowers it already has? I am thinking that by removing this one plant, that it will allow alot more light to reach lower bud sights, and therefore make up for lost plant. Am I right on this. If I pull the plant out of closet I can really see a difference in the light hitting lower half of remaining 3 plants. Any previous experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks GK and all it's fantastic members. I LOVE THIS SIGHT
Nobody has any idea huh. Damn, you all must really be growing some good stuff,LOL. Oh well, Im gonna do it and see, get my own experience and learn from that.
brother that no one answered in a timely manner. Putting a budding plant outside SHOULD revert it back to veg stage at this time of year. keep us posted
It also depends on the characterisics of the plant and how mature it is.For example i have some mature GS clones that i put outside a couple weeks ago that have started flowering and we're on 15 hours of daylight.
It's not early in the season. When raising plants indoors for transplanting outdoors in the spring, have the lights on a 18/6 cycle.
Don't woory about it flowering it will revert back to the veg state quickly I say 24/7 lights and then through them outside . earlier the better ,make them tougher if you don't baby them to much I live in the extreme Ne and I have already planted my platation of 24 plants outside . I put them into a cold frame for 1 week b4 planting them though.Nonetheless it's better that they are weened from indoor lights and also put outside during the day for a week and then put out for good to give them a chance to become use to the colder weather.but certainly the sooner they are out the better as long as no frost is in the forcast. mine are in pots in my back yard and I bring them in if a night is expected to have less then 40 degrees. If you have the right strain they can take a frost even once or twice. Some strains are so easy to grow its funny.while other strains are down right useless in my neck of the woods. I recomend Passion # 1,Voodoo#1 ,shaman # 1 for northern climates they simply grow like weeds.and can handle frosts overnite well. hope you get a kilo heheh (Edited by starman at 8:53 pm on May 20, 2003)
Thanks again everybody. Guess I should ease it into the change. Take it outside for a few hours everyday, huh. And Ranger I didnt mean early in season, just early in the outdoor growth cycle, still in veg, sorry man.But anyway, what do we do with the buds that are already formed after she reverts back to veg. Will she continue to flower and just produce new veg. growth from the top/tips. This is gonna be interesting for me to see. I am SO X ITED
Plants raised under a 24/0 regimen will often start their budding cycle when set outdoors, dur to the cut in light lentgths. It takes em awhile to revert back to veg--during which they don't do much of anything.
