I have white widow plant well into flowering and seems like there's amber triches on leaves coming out of buds but triches on buds are clear. And more amber on certain parts of the plant (ie top) than others. Does this happen and/or is it normal? (Sort of looks like brown sugar sprinkled on the leaves. Used 30x magnifier to confirm.)Shouldn't the amber triches be spread throughout all triches? (All photos I've seen of mature plants show amber spread evenly amongst triches.)And how should the triches progress at this point? (throughout the buds or stay isolated, etc.)Open photo in new tab for better detail. /monthly_2013_05/IMG_2652ad.JPG.2295bf6760fdf2245b5ab9b93b3803b9.JPG
You'll find that the concentration will spread. I'm assuming your about week five or six of 12/12. You'll notice that certain parts of the plant mature faster than others. Why I'm not sure but I've seen orange hairs at week 3 lol.
They are just older trichs, They developed earlier in flower when the buds were just forming up and are now at the point of being ripe and amber. You're gonna trim off all the leaf anyway. What's important is the trichomes on the buds. Ohh and the buds look nice on that plant. :goodjob:
Oh, thanks so much. That's the feedback I was looking for. I wasn't sure if there's a pattern when triches change color, etc. (isolated amber, even distribution of amber, etc.) In another forum I got incoherent responses and people couldn't form sentences to save their life. I've never seen amber triches on my plants that's why I asked. (I've had a lot of bad luck with flowering finishing up on my previous grows.) No, this is way, way into flowering. I had my lights much too far away for a while then moved them closer when I learned how to cool the hoods. (I'm embarrassed to say when flowering started.) Thanks.
Buds look good, plants look a bit overferted. IMHO, looks like its about time to flush em before harvest anyway. How far into flower are you? What strain?
