Is it possible to make your own smart pots out of landscaping cloth? has anyone seen this done? I have been thinking about ways to make a 2' wide and 3" deep container (mess with the footprint to try to mimic a SHORT sog with 1 plant), and think it can be done if I can use some sort of heavy duty thread to sew ground cover together. Will this work? Will it rot out or mess with the nute or PH levels in any way? I was kind of assuming that I'd have to use PVC pipe to support it and just have 1-use, throwaway pots inside the PVC frame, but if anyone can think of a better way to support such a delicate and flimsy root zone I'm all ears.
