well i started off my first grow with 3 plants and they all are male, so ****. since its my first grow i thought ide let them grow all the way anyways since i took care for them alot, and see how they turn out. i know they arent as potent as females, but would i be able to get high off these buds?
Males don't grow buds. To know they're males, you must have seen them growing balls (pollen sacs). You can-- cut them down, take the leaves off (throw away those big fan leaves), dry them slowly and then cure them like you would do buds. You'll end up with something that will get you mildly stoned. Not as much as buds, but way better than nothing. Or you could cook with them for a mild buzz. Another thing....if they are truely males and you continue to grow them out you are going to have a huge mess on your hands when the pollen starts to drop!
I wouldn't recamend smokin the dried leaves since they'll taste like **** and probably give you a headace. But you could probably make some decent oil from them. I've never tried it with males but its worth a try.
Cooking with MJ leaves is nice too. I put them into veggie burritos, potato soup, meat sauces, green salads and the like. I need to find a use for MJ roots. Any ideas?
the best use of MJ roots would be a compost pile that you use, in turn, to enrich your growing medium/soil. dave, we've all been in your shoes. look at it this way ... 3 males! damn, you are one unlucky dude! just joking, we've all 'been there, done that'. I have also smoked many leaves and have never gotten a headache. It was funny to first time I had weed was some weed I picked. I found some ditch weed on a road trip and I didn;t know what I was doing, I barely reconginzed the plant as MJ, anyway I ended up picking all the leaves thinking I was getting a **** load of MJ. Though in my defense it was mid july and there was nothing else to be picked. I know thats off the topic, anyway I would try and smoke the leaves and cook with them, just remember that weed is fat soluable, meaning that it needs fat to bind to, when eating it, for you to get high. about the bad luck, better luck next time
