I just went in for a doctor's visit today and discussed with my doctor my use of marijuana for treatment of my migraines. she said that, due to the well documented negative long term effects of marijuana, she did not feel comfortable with recommending it in my case. basically, unless someone is dying, she doesn't want to touch the stuff. well, I've been through the gauntlet and tried 4 different medications (none of which have worked), and i'm getting sick of it. do you guys think i should go to one of the clinics such as the THC foundation to try and get my recommendation, or am I better off sticking with the one i've got and trying to change her mind? I really just want nothing better than to produce enough for personal (medical) use. thanks.
You need to find a doctor that gives MMJ recommendations, maybe through THCF. You won't convince your current doctor.
thats kinda the feeling I had. what do I say to her? that I've found someone else to manage my migraines with MMJ but i'd still like to keep seeing her for my other slew of health problems? (insomnia, depression, ADD, etc)?
go to the thcf clinc in Portland ore they have a Washington doctor who is one of the top doctors in the state he comes there a couple times a month and he is a pro pot doctor call and make appointment send them your medical records pay 200.00 and ta da license most doctors don't want the hassel of it even most will agree it will help they chose not to offer you something thats better for you and has no chance of killing you besides they don't get pharm kick backs remember doctors are in the business to sell drugs weather they are good for you or not . besides if you use pot you won't need much of the others and thats bad for business, after all we are fighting the drug companies they are the ones that don't want it legal as it cuts into there profits and the Goverment wants there tax money from them pills besides the U.S Goverment has the patient of marijuana that can be found here hxxp://www.google.com/patents?vid=USPAT6630507
lol ummm... i'll check out the clinic once i see my doc another time or two. i've only tried 2preventatives so far, so i should probably try a third before I try to get my authorization... give modern medicine a fair shot. guess I'll just have to handle the awkwardness of telling my doc and hope she wants to continue being my primary care physician. thanks for the feedback guys.
