Hey guys just starting and trying to learn plaything about growing, here last week i built it's not the greatest but thought would be worth while to show see if there's some better ideas, but for right now I'm watering these about 1 to 2 times a day and from what it looks like im over watering a little, along with having nutes coming my way should help just have to watch these few drooping. I do have one question about this grow though is i grabbed miracle grow poting soil and I see every one using par-lite fox farm etc. I already have that for the next grow just not sure if the ones in the soil is going to thrive heres the pic of the veg room for the next few weeks
You should only water those, every 2-3 days. Stop now, and wait a few days before watering again. You should only water till the soil is moist, not drenched. The roots are so small at this stage, they berally need any water. Too much water, will cause droopinss, and root rot, which will kill them. So every 2-3 days, and only little seriously, like 7 -Cola Bottle Caps worth, good estimate. And they dont need nutes yet, wait till they are atlleast 2-3 weeks old man. aboard GK Ship. :-welcome-::-welcome-::-welcome-::-welcome-::-welcome-::-welcome-::-welcome-::-welcome-:

Start with the DIY forum Projects List http://forum.growkind.com/showthread.php?t=34869 Concentrate on the Grow Rooms / Cabinets / Containers section to get an idea how a well thought out cab works.
Ive been reading a little but from the looks of it ur not diggin the grow room I know its not the greatest just the best room in the house for vegging the flowing stage will be built later when i have parts, with the neutes its been about 2 weeks so far and would expect neutes to be here next week so that should work almost 3 weeks before startin nutes like ya said
Its alright man, you can do miracles with that setup. You really dont need that tin foil man. It doent do that much benefit. I suggust you got to a grow store, and buy... Panda Film... aka.. Mylar..which is black on one side, and reflective white on the other side, plastic sheets. The white side will reflect the light back at your plants, and will much benefit them. Its not too expansive, and will be way.. better then tin foil. :thumbs-up: When they get bigger, I suggest you get few more CFL lights, and put those suckers right under the light. I noticed the lights are spaced out, and the seedlings are in the middle. They would do alot better, if they are right under the light, where the actual bulb is few inches above the plants (4-5 inches) Gl bud.
to the site tee. Lots of good information and people here. That's a nice looking setup you got there.
I would have just gone with maylar just no place in town has it right now just thought it would help out better then brown, so if u think it will help out I can get it ordered I already repositioned the lights closer in. When your talking about when they get bigger u meaning in veg stage or in flowerin stage cause I am goin to test led and see how it does
Problem with using hps lights is the issue of how much it will cost for them police around here are watching electricity consumption
Dont worry buddy. The cops dont care about electricity consumption, unless they already have a reason to watch you. Pay the bills, dont still power, dont tell, and you are golden dude. I believe, our member, Rasganja, has a $600+ bill, and he doesnt sweat a drop. Only thing you got to worry about is Heat, only if you got like 10+ HPS lights going at once. Your grow will not give off heat. Your TV box produces more heat, for example. Mylar can be forund and is sold online also. LED lights are bad, and too expansive. Invest money in to HPS lights.... They run about $300 for the Hood, the Ballast, and the Bulb, all in one package. and yes reposition the lights now, during the vedge stage. and remember, if you fail this time, there will be plenty of times, you can re-start, and try again. Dont give up. But you wont fail. If any question, or problems arise, feel free to ask us anything....there are plenty of good people on here, that will guide you to be a greenthumb. I also started like you, and became some what good at it. So have may others, thanks to GrowKind. and Check out the Grow Log section.
About lighting, bro inexpensive HID lighting can be had on ebay. Stay away from .. CCrete, what's that shit company that burns ppl's houses down, backs out of warranty's, has cops constantly prowling their shops..etc..? Some HydroFarm products are good and not the most expensive, and there are some others that are 'cheap', but work. I've gotten 600w lamps WITH ballast and bulb for under 300$ and a couple 400w's for under 200$ each, one with switchable and dimmable ballast that I've been using almost a year.. The deals are there, you just gotta look. And if you want reflective material, panda film is some good stuff, from what I hear. Kudo's to the guy who suggested that. It's not too expensive and won't cause the 'sun-spot' heat burning problems that tin foil will.
SW-That was HTG Supply. You could simply paint the inside flat white. Almost anything is better than foil. The box is good, just needs some attention to detail. The wiring needs cleaning up. I'd get a box and hard mount the receptacle. Mount the timer too and find a plate to cover that wiring also. You have water moisture and electricity in close proximity, sloppy or exposed wiring is inviting problems.
buy quality equipment, cops will never even know if you are running just 1 600watt $500 on a 600 watt with quality bulb will pay for itself with the first harvest and be around forever. Dont buy cheap or chinese welcome to the show
to GrowKind tee13, Best advice to start is listion to these old growers and read, read, read. So far all good advice. again to GK  MGJs :redbong:
Yes go with Panda Film, the best. Dam, and I always called it mylar instead... what a mistake... Thanks OFO. I gots an excuse though.. it came for free, as a gift, after buying the tent. I guess the tent's inside walls, are made of actual mylar. Interesting. See, even novice growers can learn a few things.
I agree. Led would not be a good first time light. If electricity is a issue you may want to consider a digital ballast. Lumentek if a good company. I've had there digi ballast ever since they came out in like 05. The new ones are nice cuz you can dial the power back on them. and they do run cheaper, not as hot and not as loud as your standard magnetic ballast. And as far as lighting - you get what you pay for. Look at a light as an investment. Your buds will only be as dank as the light you supply them with. NEG
to the show, tee. You have gotten a lot of good advice so far. If you don't have one yet, get yourself a good PH meter. Proper PH of your nutes and water is critical to achieving success with your plants. As for lighting the floro's are great for starting out the seedlings but most , but not all, folks are using the high intensity discharge metal halides and high pressure sodium's. They get better penetration as the plants get taller. Keep reading the faq's as most of your questions can be answered there. Good luck. BBT:thumbsup:
