I just purchased a 250W HPS from insidesun. It took forever and a day to get here but its finaly here. I installed it then decided to put my 2 flo's back in with the HPS. couldn't hurt right? The temp is a hair over 80 and I have 2 fans blowing down on them. My grow room is 5' tall 2' wide and 1.5 ft deep. What sucks is that I got a digital timer off e-bay and the damn thing doesnt work. Will it hurt to have this much light on the girls(2, 1ft plants) 24 hours a day? I almost out of free samples of ferts that I got from the hydro store. What do you guys use for veg? Thinking about hooking up some liquid karma. Ive been using alaska fish emulsion 5-1-1, Power Plant (by botanicare), and Blast Off with good results. Last queston, (sorry guys) I want to try cloning the two plants and putting them in 12/12 right away to see if they're female. I have the cloning gell, and Im pretty sure 1 plant is mature b/c of the alternating nodes. Can I clone them in soil? What do you guys think?
'icetea....24/0 in veg is commonly used by many growers, not a problem as long as sufficient ventilation and nutes are available. Liqu.K is good stuff IMO. Though it provides little in the way of nutes, it acts great as a catalyst, letting plants uptake the available nutes quicker/more effeciently. AK's fish...I seemed to have a little problem with it raising my ph above the desired limits, (??) something to watch for... I've not had experience with the Botanicare products. Timers : Man I have a box full.. For a while there I was always looking for new and better timers. What brand was that so I can avoid buying that one. Randy
