Organic Nutes, Hempy, and Runoff pH

I'll make this as quick as I can.

    I fed ~36-40 hours ago. 5.55 pH, 1000ppm. Today the runoff was 500ppm, 6.4-6.6

I use botanicare, I let it sit for 24-48 hours, then adjust using GH pH up/down.

I've already flushed once, before flowering using ~3gal per pot (2gal pots).

I used Tap water that had a pH of ~8.5(this time), after the nutrients were added it was 4.0ish, then adjusted.

If the runoff is 6.5, that means the plants are using that mix to feed on right? Well, I just don't see how that's a good thing. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong; pH runoff has been my single most aggravating issue with hempy.

I'm considering going DWC (similar to nilzars) next time around so I can force the pH to stay 5.5-5.8.

I'm getting frustrated. I did however(today) use my PUR water filter to fill up a 7 gal bucket with water that is naturally 5.8, and am going to use it for the next nute mixing and see if it makes a difference. I'm also going to feed them much much less, so that I feed more often. One of the main reasons I went with hempy is because it was easier for me not to overwater.

WTF is going on. I'm almost POSITIVE the reason I've seen slight colour variations in my AK clones is the varying pH.

I guess I'm incapable of making these posts "quick".
    heh.

I'm not entirely sure what the question is here? I've heard of checking runoff ph on a soil grow but never heard of doing it on hempy. Hempy didn't recommend it and I honestly can't say I've ever done it.

Check the PH of what you are adding and replace it with fresh nutrient solution that is full strength and correct PH. PH only matters as far as not damaging the plant and being in the correct range for the plant to absorb nutrients.

From your own runoff ppm readings your plants are absorbing what you are feeding them. What is the problem?

Well hempy is like soil in that different plants feed at a different rates and require you to have to feed separately sometimes. So if you are attempting to feed them at the same time everytime you may try only feeding the ones that really need it. If you pH is raising that much over not even two days and you need your feed to last three, you need to feed them a little more not volume wise but strength wise. Not much just a little bit.

If the runoff is a higher PH and the PPms are dropping then everything is OK.

    Ok, thanks neon.

What skunky said, is what I was thinking about doing. I'm pretty much going to let the media dry out to the point the plants are really showing they need more water+nutes, then I'm going to feed a slightly higher PPM, but less of it. Like I said in the first post, much much less. I should have been clear. Not much much less PPM, but much much less quanity.

I guess I was getting way to pissed about something that's not that big of a deal.

Once again, thanks GK - I'da never made it this far without you guys.
