I agree with MG, I put plants in in the middle of may last year and they just started to flower and then reverted back so the third week of may is perfect. If it flowers and revenues you loose a lot of grow time and I would say it would greatly lower your yield or at least make trimming a pain because it makes them have a million branches coming out of where the buds started to form and you don't get any good tops.

Alright, I guess I'll wait. Repotted them last night into bigger pots, they were getting root bound in the solo cups. My neighbor finally came through and let me borrow his tiller. Now if the rain will hold off I can get my veggies planted so I have a little cover.

Got the yard tilled, putting a 3' fence around the open sides. Got to dark for pics of fence but will post some when finished.

Well I'm getting my lil privacy fence up. I know the mj will get taller but it can't hurt. Thanks to my El Salvadorian buddy up the road for the fence panel donations. Took 3-6' sections, cut those in half and snagged some old posts from my pops. I think getting everything built and ready is my favorite part of growing. :coolbounce::redbong:

No way in hell I'd grow there living in a heavy penalty State. But then I wouldn't grow in Japan either. Just a big ol' scaredy cat pussy here.

Well, the way I look at it, as long as I just go about it as it's only a vegetable garden and make sure they don't get hugemongus I'll be fine. Unless for some reason a ghetto bird flys over for some freak reason. I'm also real careful how I look at or tend to the mj's. I never spend more than a few minutes at a plant and before I go up to it I walk around the yard some just "checking" stuff like I always do when I get home and crack a cold one. While doing that I make sure no one is around or can see what I'm doing. I never EVER do the obvious owl head look around before checking a plant.

man your patch is lookin nice, you deserve a cold brew for all that hard work...

...but I agree with Res, I would be super sketched out about growing openly in a non-friendly state. Also, I hope you realize that your plants will be freaking huge by the time that they flower. You should do very heavy training and trimming, to get them into a wide bush shape.

Thanks for checking it out link, ya know I've been acting all nonchalant about security but I do get sketched out at any unknown car, plane, or if the dog barks it's ass off. It's always been nothing in the past but I do try to stay on alert. For training I'm not sure how I want to do it yet. I don't really want to top a lot of them cause I like the big top cola's. I had some dude tell me years ago when I was still in SoCal that he grew a plant by staking it down so it grew like a vine, any of y'all heard of or done that? I'm leaning toward some serious LST, probably do a spiral shape with the main stem or something. On a side note, I finally got my tomatoes, corn, sunflowers, peppers, cantaloupe, and watermelon planted. I put the corn and sunflowers around the outer perimeter of the garden so they will be a good blocker from any unwanted eyes. Also put my tomatoes to the west/right side of the garden to blend the mj's when I plant them. Once the corn is harvested I'm gonna leave the stocks standing for screenage. If it all goes as planned it should be hard to tell what all is growing from a distance. OH! I also put a blueberry vine by the chain link on the east/left side to fill up the open fence space on that side.

Ya know, I've been looking at all y'all outdoor guys previous grows. If I do this right and get max yield, these girls are gonna stick out like a sore thumb. NOW IM GETTING NERVOUS! So, this weekend will consist of me going to my pops and seeing if I can get the shade cloth he has stashed from giving the chickens some shade. Which means I'll have to cut out some for him from the results(which I would've anyway). I'm sure I'll be ok but you guys got me freaked now about more security. :icon_confused:

You should be a little freaked. If you can see people from your grow...people can see your grow. In your State that's especially not a good thing. Want to get even more freaked? Look up local forfeiture statutes.

Ok, I've calmed down from my original WTF AM I DOING moment. I guess let me sum up my grow experience. When u was a kid (damnit I'm almost 30, WTF happened) I found this site and got me hooked on wanting to grow some high times shit. I blame all y'all's bud porn, any who I always got ripped, or they died, or my mom found were I had my seedlings in the backyard, that was hard to explain. I've really only had 2 successful grows, one at my dads, and it was an accident really. Just tossed a handful of seeds out. Ended up being the best plant I've ever had. Next was last year, again some seeds tossed into a flower planter popped up, my stepmom got scary when they got about a foot tall, had my own place so I took them in, and I'm still in the same place. From the backyard I can't tell if any of my neighbors have an mj plant, or a grass pile. And that was using binoculars, now if they for some reason came over or were at the property lines I would probably have a heart attack and run to Mexico. That being said, GREENHOUSE!!! Gonna use shade cloth for now cause those bitches are expensive. Plus I've shot my guns off enough outback that they all know Better than to pop up unannounced. Not that they would anyways, I don't know any of them except for Thomas right next door. He's 60 something and don't get around much, plus he's an acre and a half away and I have a HUGE red oak between us, he can't see anything in my backyard from his place. Here's a peek at the girls just chillin in the shade.

How you get them to grow sideways like that?

I'm not quite sure what you mean, so I probably had nothing to do with it. Unless you mean that the pics posted sideways, if so, my bad. :icon_confused:

IT'S THE END OF APRIL AND IT MIGHT FREEZE! WTF, so I brought all the plants in that were in pots, there's 8 more that are in the ground cause I ran out of room. Well, I got em all in the dining room/kitchen area, if all of these do halfway as good as MG's 12' grow, I'm in trouble. I'm deff gonna throw up taller fencing this weekend, and I'm blaming resin rubber for the paranoia. After I read your post about people being able to see the grow, just so happened I was pretty blazed. Fuckin airplane started flying around forever-a lot of the ranchers and crazy dudes have planes around here- I got freaked the fuck out and his in my bathroom while trying to peek through the opaque skylight:5eek::roffl: first thing to go up is gonna be a beige canopy made of shade cloth. Y'all think I have to many? It's mostly for personal, I hate paying for weed. [IMG] the back row is store bought from marijuanaseeds.nl, it was an outdoor mix 10 pack, northern lights, white widow, and some other stuff. Not going to hold my breath though, they threw in a 5 pack freebie, killed one,2 males, fixin to most likely kill the last one. Found 2 males in the 10 pack mix, so out of seeds that I paid for -8 sprouted, 2 males so far. The rest are from decent local bag weed.

Looking good man, but, even one plant is too many in your state, especially outside. You're going to be a ball of nerves come harvest time. My money is on the paranoia.

I'm looking at the post and they're upright on my screen. I did have the camera a little off when I took the pic though. Man I thought I finally figured out how to do the pics right. Been using tinypic. And thanks guys, they got a little crispy on some leaves from the sun, but they're all looking better on the new growth. Midnight, you're probably right.
