Yay for puppins! The brownish/yellowish dog is Zoe Bell. The stripey one is Merlin. Zoe is a Boxer Lab mix with a little bit of German shepherd. She comes up to my knees at the shoulders, but weighs 61lb. Merlin is a Pitbull/Cattledog(maybe) mix He's a little lower to the ground, not as long from nose to butt, and weighs 41lbs. Zoe is an excellent swimmer, and excellent jumper. She can grab the ball I have hanging outside by a garage door spring that's 5'9" high with no problem. She can support her weight with her jaws.

Here's my buddy gettin' ready to bolt after a rabbit. He's supposedly Newfoundland/Golden Retreiver I wish I could lay down and take a nap wherever I felt like it My new girl 5.5 months ago. She's supposedly a Lab/Mastiff this week
Thanks IrishGirl...like your pups too. Looks like mine aren't the only one's who like to play in the snow. Well the longhair does, Apple likes to sit inside directly in front of the space heater.
Awsome dogs you guys. We're still not sure if Zoe Bell is boxer/lab+some germshepherd or PIT/lab+some german shepherd. She was the runt, and had entropic eyes(a boxer thing), and had more of a bulldog build. Her brothers have longer legs in proportion to their body, and weigh 73-85lbs(i don't own the brothers). I used to have a Great Pyrenees, she was put down a couple months ago, I got here when I was 11 years old and I loved her very very very much. New foundlands were bread using English Labrador's and Great Pyrenees'. Your pic of your Retriever Newfy mix almost made me cry. My wife used to own a Wire Hair dachshund named Pixie. They THOUGHT it was a Dachshund Carien Terrier mix, but that was just because she had crazy hair. We're not sure, but the pictures of wire hair dachshunds look just like her, multi-coloured hair. She was so so so so sweet. She was used to living in the country and roaming, and when we lived in this one house for awhile by a main highway, she ran off for a day(like usual) and didn't come home for days, then on the 4th day I saw her on the side of the road, she had almost made it home, she was crossing the road at a curve in the road and got clipped I guess =(
to hear that Wiz, you get so attached to the little guys, it's hard when they leave you. I had a 14yr old min lh dachshund pass away last year. He had been blind for about 2 years, but still got around great. Last weekend I was offered my choice of registered black lab pups, but couldn't talk the wife into it. I need a dog for duck hunting damnit. she say's I never go anymore. I say I would go if I had a damn dog. viscous circle damn, AJ, a lab-mastiff mix is bound to be a hell of a dog. We had a black lab a long time ago, that I swear was mixed with a great dane. he looked just like a black lab, but was much bigger than any lab I'd ever seen. Dad named him Magnum, fitting name. Only thing was, the dog had the goofiest bark I'd ever heard. Sounded like he was a hare-lip.
Yeah, I'm kinda teared up now. My Great Pyr was a female. My wife would take any dog I ever brought home, I'm the one who has to be like, no, no, no more dogs.
Here's my pitt mix named 'Little One' My old Akita named 'Jayda' The twin Italian Mastiffs named 'Xena' and 'Gabrielle'...respectively And the G-friend's English Bulldog named 'Champ'
Those weimaraner's bud? Nice looking dogs. My father-in-law has a few that he keeps for bird dogs. Very smart dogs, and damn near tireless.

my two babies i was never a dog person and when i got sick with diabetes and had to stop work..wife got me a border collie that i named shadow...she was 6 weeks and followed me everywhere....we bought a motorhome and wife quit job and we went traveling with our new motorhome and my baby shadow...we went 50 thousand miles in less than two years...all the way from maine to alaska to hawaii (flew there) to canada and mexico and tx and california and 3 months in vegas...all when i was 42 years old..it was a blast...while we did that i spent everyday training shadow...she was sooo good..and well behaved..you get out what you put in for sure...about 5 years later...wife had a kidney removed and when we came home from hospital shadow was laying beside the bed and was dead...i cried for 3 days....she was the one that helped me make it through my sickness and my wifes sickness and was always there to comfort us...she was very special like i hear from all the other stories here...my daughter and grandaughter and i went out back and dug a hole..(it was 9pm) and buried her and had alittle service...it was very very sad... it took about 3 months for me to get over it and we finally went and got 2 more dogs both border collies from the border collie rescue...and we love those dogs..but not like shadow...i know you all have similiar stories...just wanted to share how special my girl was....she loved her pop pop...have a great day...rip shadow...
