NOTICE: This first post deals with the OLD version of the GK Garden Section. The 2nd post works with the new "Photo Gallery" Section. if you already have a garden with images uploaded skip the first list of instructions to read how to post a picture in a thread. 1. start off at the growkind home page: http://www.growkind.com/home.html (at the bottom of every forum page there is a HOME link that also gets you there) 2. next, click on the Gardens link, or follow this one: http://www.growkind.com/marijuana/pictures/ 3. from here click on Add/Edit Your Gardens!, or this link directly: https://www.growkind.com/edit/gardenedit.asp 4. now, if you already have a garden account (this is separate from your forum account) skip to the next step. otherwise sign up for a garden account by clicking on need an account? or this link: https://www.growkind.com/edit/signup.asp fill out the information (you can use the same info from your forum account). then click the Main Page link to get back to the login page. 5. log in using your garden account username/password. 6. onced logged in click the Start a New Garden link. 7. fill in the required info and submit the form. you will now see your garden listed with Title/Status showing the title you specified followed by In Progress. 8. click on the Edit button, and then scroll down to the bottom of the page. 9. fill out the Add A Picture To This Garden form (description is optional), and click the Upload File button. 10. your picture has now been uploaded...but your garden is not LIVE yet, so only you can access it by logging in. you can leave the status as In Progress if you want to keep your pictures private. 11. to make your garden visible to other members, simply change the Status drop-down menu box to Live and then click the Save Changes button. now you're ready to post pictures in the forums. 1. if your garden is live, you can find it in the garden list: http://www.growkind.com/marijuana/newpictures/ 2. once you find the picture in your garden you want to upload, right-click on the image. if you are using Mozilla Firefox web browser you will have an option to Copy Image Location. click it to put the image's URL into your clipboard. if you are using Internet Explorer (god forbid), you must click the Properties option, and then manually select the URL of the image and copy it. 3. once you have the image's URL copied you are ready to include that picture in a post. to do so, use the following format: [ img ] URL [ /img ] ...where URL is the address you will paste. make sure there are NO SPACES between the [ ] characters. 4. make your post and you should see the image. 5. if your garden is not live, then you will have to log in as you would when uploading new images. click the Edit button next to the garden that contains the image you want to upload. 6. find the image you want, and follow steps 2-4.
NEW Posting pics 101 In the header of each page you will see a Photo Gallery link. 1. Click on Photo Gallery. Above the pics you should see a toolbar with something like this in it... My Photos · My Albums · My Favorites · Home · Search · Profile · Upload Photos 2. Select Upload Photos . The next screen is pretty self explanatory. You are given the option to upload up to 10 photos at a time into your gallery. You are also given the opportunity to provide a title and description of the photos in another box located in the middle of the page. When you hit SUBMIT, the file(s) you selected will be uploaded. (Depending on the size of the file and your connection, this may take some time. Please be patient. 3. After uploading, you are given the opportunity to edit the title of each submitted photo, or add / change the description of each photo. 4. When you are done with all that... select the Process button to finish. It is much easier than the old way and you do not need to make a separate garden account like before.
