The "Voice of Drug Reform in the UK",Professor David Nutt is looking for volunteers. Some will get resin,some skunk and some placebo. Should make for interesting tv show. Iv followed the Prof on Twitter for some time aswell as Facebook,Wordpress and iv watched his previous television appearances. He always comes across as a voice of reason in the insane drugs war. Hes equally critical of both left and right wing parties aswell as the elements of UK media that block reform by sensationlist headlines. Recently Prof Nutt took part in a groundbreaking show on the same channel called "The Ecstasy Trial" where people took ecstasy on tv in lab conditions ,it was very interesting and this Cannabis Trial Episode should provoke a bigger response and hit a far larger audience as Cannabis is the issue hot on everyones lips in the UK at the moment as demand for Medical Cannabis increases. Most of you guys stateside wont ever have heard of Professor David Nutt but he was appointed by Tony Blairs Govt to examine the Drug War from a scientific and pragmatic point of view. The respected Scientists findings were too hot to handle and he was sacked for essentially telling the Govt to regulate weed and even to decriminalise Ecstasy,the latter suggestion was more the source of the sensationalist media outrage. Some of his drug Czar colleagues quit in protest at his sacking. If you hire a man to tell you the truths from his expert point of view then how can you sack him for revealing the truth? A very engaging man as far as drug reform advocates and scientists go. His problem was he attacked the cigarette and alcohol industry in his pllea to control Cannabis legally.
