I remember this coming up before, and have been unable to find taht post. I'm wondering the name of the chemical that's present that make certain buds purple regardless of temperature...? I thought it was something like anteymicin? If you would clear that up for me, I'd be grateful. I'm going to write it down this time. If you DON'T mind, elaborate a little on it.[not sure exactly what I mean by elaborate, but I'm sure you'll come up with something]

anthocyanin It's just expressed in varying levels that the plants store in their vacuoles. It is supposed to be protective to UV damage by absorbing harmful wavelengths and is believed to attract pollinators because of the color. This blood oranges are pretty cool
Shop's? We call alot of place's 'shop's', but not where you buy produce. Produce is found at the grocery, the market, the road-side stand. We're nowhere near FL, but I can't believe I've never seen these!
Used to be able to get them at this grocery store called united market street. Seen them at wal-mart a few times too. The ones I've seen always said california blood oranges. This sorbe looks bomb The juice is badass it's really good. Taste like a mix of orange juice with a mix of mild grapfruit. Supposed to be really good for you too. Really high in antioxidants like pomegranate.
