questions about hps

    hi everyone, i am a first time grower. i have a quick couple of questions. i appreciate any responses.
    for veg i have two 48" 40watt flouros for 4 plants of
    ak-47, in a 2ft deep by 4ft long by 8ft high closet, is that enough light for this stage?
    For flowering i was wondering if 1 400 watt  hps lamp in the same closet would work for 4 plants, or do i need a 1000 watt hps lamp?      i really appreciate the help

    Yes....and yes ;) 400W is fine for 4 plants in that space to flower nicely.

    by any chance does anyone know approx. how long it will take ak-47 to veg and flower?

    You need to veg that ak47 for at least 8 weeks for maximum maturity..Then, you may flower at anytime after that stretch.Now, If they were clones off of a ak47 Motherplant, You could flower at any time due to the clones maturity.. Good luck to ya' CG [​IMG]

    size of yield is not that important to me but the quality kinda is?

    If you want quality, then you MUST wait until the plant is fully mature..usually around 8 weeks is peak maturity for most strains.If you dont wait until the 8 weeks are up..you may lose potency,alng with yield.You heard the old saying "GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT"..
