I have a bunch of clones that are rooted pretty good. I was wondering if I could determine sex by putting 1 in my flower chamber now. The parent was killed in an accident,so It never made it to flower chamber to determine sex.
My theory is this, if I determine sex of this clone and its female then I will continue to veg and jog its sisters. This is backwards from the way I did it last time. I determined sex first, then cloned it. But this should work alright, I think.I've got about 7 weeks til harvest so I'll be able to veg for a total of about 8 weeks since these clones are already roted.

You can flower a clone as soon as it's rooted.
Flowering a clone to determine sex is the preferred method rather than sexing the parent before taking clones, which slows things down for a month.
Here's a suggestion: you mentioned that you have multiple clones from the same parent, right?
Flower a clone, and if it's a girl leave it in the chamber to finish. Meanwhile you can be vegging her sisters until they reached the desired height (save one of these for the mom of course).
The sex-indicator one will finish first and give you a nice preview of what is to come.

rangerdanger: you said you can flower a clone after it is rooted. How much yeld could you expect to get from a clone in flower that didn't have a chance to grow in a veg room?

Not being sarcastic (Did I get the spelling right? LOL!) But that would be a fast way to get some bud even if it were alittle....

P.S Starman: what's up? Everyone is saying you must be a law-enforcemt memeber?

You're asking about rooted clone to flower with no veg?
It depends on a lot of things, mostly strain.
I had a friend who used to do that and he would get 1.25 oz. off each 'plantlet' that would grow from a 5" clone to 18" at finish. I'd ask him what kind of strain and he'd tell me it was a secret.
He grew 80 plants at a time, sog, in an 8' x 8' enclosure and would end up with 100 oz. every 2 months.

Star man gives such bad advice that I figure he's a cop and wants people to fail.
He claims to grow 2 7' tall plants per soda pop bottle at the north pole, using seaweed he gathers himself as fertilizer.
