I turn off my (3) 1,000w lights in the summer as the outdoor is kicking ass.I started some babies a month ago and here they are 30 days later. They are under 2 4 foot light fixtures, 32 watt tubes. Not bad for 120 watts.

Look good!! I've veg with nothing by flows. I have a 400 mh but rarely use it, sometimes in the winter for the heat source.

I use the t5 54w and the t8 32w. And watt for watt I believe the t8 32w work as well and are more efficient and a hell of a lot cooler. Got a nice t8 fixture at Home Depot that holds 4 bulbs and keeps all the light in a tight area.

I assume you're waiting on cooler weather to fire up the big Ks. Looks like you're in the basement. Mine are 2nd floor of an old house I own so I went with 600s cause it gets too damn hot to even think about 1000s.

Lookin good snoop. Like little decorative bushes. you gonna flower them in those DWC pans?

yeah 1000 watters are hotters. I have a 1000 watt MH rig in a small tent, and forget it in the summer. Maybe in the winter. But I'm doing fine with the fluorescent rigs now so why spend the $ even if I can handle the temps?

Yea, I turn off the 1,000's, its kind of sad having them sit there.

I'm thinking of hanging a thousand and using the dimmer for a day or two and getting a 1,000 running very soon.

I have clones that need to go in the next week or so 5 ATF and 6 Cheese they are in soil solos but fully rooted and growing. Ill wash the roots off in a bucket and put in 6 inch net pots.

I dont thing I can separate those clusters, the roots are a solid masses.

I did let them get away on me. If anything I will see what the tub can do in 5 gal. Normally close to a quarter pound a tub.

I am in a basement and love it. it 72F 60RH at the moment. The floros run 24/0 I would never run a 1,000 24/0.

This winter while the plants grow I'm wanting to buy a GTT Lynx glass blowing torch and do some fun things. Decided 2 weeks ago the I should invest in a kiln, fuel bottles and a good torch.

I recently met a glassblower. Has an amazing shop and was a total head - very open discussion for being in a Dark Ages state. Piqued my interest.

Any cool pieces? There's a guitar maker around here somewhere (tC...seen you looking around.:smokin:) and Herb (old Admin.) made really cool inlay or carved stash boxes, a few gearheads (like myself). Kinda fun to see what other growers do besides grow.

So digging flo's again. I get better performance and foot print with less heat using two 4 bulb 52w HO T5 sets rather than a single 400w HID for vegging. After watching the current LED guys on GK it's looking as if HID lighting may be on it's way out the door entirely.

As cool as LED is I need some horsepower for my people who need medicine.I grow for some very sick people, not just hurting but people who may not be with us for much longer. LED equivalent would cost me in excess of $10,000. Being this grow is completely medical and not one spec is sold I have to pay out of pocket.I smoked 3-4 hits last week, i dont smoke much.I will be doing 18 5 gallon tubs under 2,000 watts DWC. I am waiting on hydroton and enough nutes to make 72+ gallons of soup.Alaskan thunderfuck, cheese, bubblicious, jack herer, blackberry and FLO.Every year I plan a crop to get done about 3 weeks before christmas, last year I did super good under a single 1,000 MH.This year is going to be insane. :DJust getting started, today and turned on the lights. New bulbs too.I have some real sweet clones to work with. :) Ill get pics of them.

Years and years ago some unreal bud came around they were calling 'Alaskan Thunderfuck'. We just assumed it was some wild-ass name they'd made up because the Columbian red and gold was the standard. The Thunderfuck was expensive but on occasion we'd pool our money and get a bag and get Thunder fucked-up.

Only found out a while back it was a legit strain. Not to say it was exactly what we were buying at the time, but the name sounded good.
