Just was interested if any soil growers reuse their soil for more than one grow. We used to reuse it several times with a little lime and a few other goodies but have stopped now. We wanted to throw it out and see if anyone else reuses soil. If so how many times and have you seen any adverse affects, or possible benefits from additional added nutes or compost matter.
I kinda reuse. I started composting my soil after each grow, and bought new soil. Eventually (if I hadn't had to leave all my stuff behind) you will have a constant supply of your own good ass quality soil you don't have to buy.
i actually took the soil from my bagseed plants that i just dumped after the OFFing... and kept running some hygrozyme and adding a lil Myccorhizea every couple weeks... after a month you couldnt even tell it had been used before... my G13 x BW is now planted with that soil... and i think she looks amazing all tied down twice so far... what do you think?
I don't see much of a problem As long as the soil is sterilized and refurbished in the way of appropriate nutrient levels.... I'd still use fresh soil considering it's one of my three top keys to success...it's cheap...in perspective.
everything else got fresh just wanted to see what would happen anf if the hygrozyme did what it said... it ate the old roots up like it said it would... i just hate having to throw all that soil away... and i cant compost seeing i live in a converted factory ... i must say i dont see any ill effects on my G13xBW... but knowing me ill but fresh to...
We think she is going to produce very well, you have done a good job and that is a sweet looking lady. Thanks to all for the replies, it is appreciated
Looks good Tron That silvery looking stuff is not powdery mildew is it? I love LST'ing...it's the only way...I'd pull one of those tips into the middle...don;t want to leave that space unused!
