    *UNFINNISHED* *WORK IN PROGRESS*

not sure if this werx... :pimp:

    SWEET!!!! it worked...

So I been thinking bout this for over a year now...I haven't had a computer to work with for damn near18 months...n now I got one n downloaded sketchup and pourd forth for about 6 hours last night...n that's what I ended up with...its a major releif to finally have a visual of what I've beenppp ppp :pondering: for so long.

This should actually support a 1k if my calculations are correct, but who knows. It houses 2 440cfm fans one directly draws through the box with an air filter mounted behind the mom. Slides in through a slot. And a charcoal filter in the vertical opening in the top of the flower chamber.

The other fan draws through the dual pass air cooled light fixture. The entire interior of the light fixture and the fan exhaust area will be wrapped in 1/4" armaflex insulation painted flat black for sound deadening and light barriers.

The lamp going in it first will be a 600w hps. But some day I will hopefully get a 1k in there but might need to add another foot to the left side to add ducting and fan and a/c coil. But I might not as my house is pretty much 65- 68 year round. The dual pass hood setup allows for all the heat generated by the lamp to exit the box pronto. The only heat added will be from radiation. Which I haven't been able to calculate thus far. Either way the other fan can draw enuf to compensate.

Anyway as I said its not finnished but I'm sure u get the gist.

    Happy Growin' Peeps! :pimp:

Why no bigger than a 1k?

I was planning on sticking a 2300watter in there

I also use sketch up it's so friggin easy and i love the fact that it's proportional from the gate no scaling unless you're shrinking a component lol. Good model but since i cannot explore the dimensions. What is the light footprint needed? DSP

The flower chamber in that rendering is 3'5" wide by 27" deep but was increased to 4' wide x 27" deep.

The reflector I'm using is very wide angled. The entire interior of the growing compartments will be mylar and unless I find a reason not to ill have glass cut to cover the mylar and completely seal the growing chambers from the wood construction. Making for a very sanitary and steam cleanable environment.

oh glass lined walls interesting maybe you could try a nice white laminate like they use for countertops that aren't a natural wood or stone. It may be cheaper and easier to work with yet give you good reflectivity with the ability to be scrubbed cleaned.

A 600w will make that thing look like a UFO when you open the doors. I used to have a cabinet like that in my apt and i used a 400w. I got just better than half a # off 12 NL plants vegged a month in soil. I gave them the FF 3 pack and used FFOF for the dirt...DSP

    JuggaloKing420 Just clownin around

I grow in a roughly 2X4X7 cabinet and run a 400w. Where I live it's hot as shit in the summer and I have trouble controlling temps with a 6'' inline fan and a sealed hood. Most I pulled was 9 zips with 6 plants. Last grow I got 7 with 4, but they had some issues.

If you can keep the outside room cool like you say you shouldn't run into heat issues. Have a good intake and keep the ballast as far away from the cabinet as possible.

I think you should go with a 600w if you don't want to use A/C. Or get you a window unit and rig it up to duct the A/C's intake and exhaust out of the room and duck the cold air into the cabinet and go with the 1000watter. If I built the cab all over again, I would have done it that way.

You won't be disappointed either way.

If you do end up using the glass panel's, are you going to use CO2? Only areas you have to worry about would be where the doors shut and where the glass comes together. Use the stuff they use to seal windows for the corners.
